⚠️ HAREDI RIOTERS CHASE FEMALE IDF SOLDIERS IN BNEI BRAK; 12 ARRESTED AFTER POLICE EXTRACTION

⚠️ RIOT AGAINST FEMALE IDF SOLDIERS IN BNEI BRAK: Two female IDF soldiers from the Education Corps were chased by a mob of Haredi men in Bnei Brak before being extracted by police. They were in the ultra-Orthodox city for a home welfare visit to one of their soldiers and were not Military Police, contrary to some claims.

Footage circulating on social media shows the two women running as they are escorted by police, with a large crowd of men chasing after them. Trash cans were knocked over as the group followed them through the street, and the crowd also overturned a police car.

Police said “a handful of lawbreakers” gathered around the soldiers, who came “for a welfare activity as part of their role in the IDF.” Police said forces rescued them from the scene as disorderly individuals confronted officers and threw bins toward the patrol car’s driving lane.

Police later said the situation is under control and the soldiers were extracted from the area. Police said 12 rioters were arrested in Bnei Brak. A helicopter was dispatched over Bnei Brak, and the police commissioner is on the way to the city.

⚠️ OFFICIAL CONDEMNATIONS AND CALLS FOR ENFORCEMENT: Prime Minister Netanyahu said: “I strongly condemn the violent riots in Bnei Brak against IDF female soldiers and Israeli police officers. This is an extreme minority that does not represent the entire Haredi community. This is a serious and unacceptable matter. We will not allow anarchy, nor will we tolerate any harm to IDF servicemembers and security forces who are doing their work with dedication and determination.”

Defense Minister Katz called on Haredi leaders to condemn the act and urged law enforcement to act decisively and bring to justice everyone involved in what he described as a serious assault.

Ben Gvir: “This is a violent anarchist handful - who will pay a heavy price for it.”

Bennett: “A glaring red line has been crossed, we will restore governance.”

Lapid: “Who does Netanyahu care more about - our soldiers or his coalition partners? There must be a wave of arrests in the coming hours.”

Gantz: “This is a moral low. Coalition members, and especially leaders of the Haredi community, must strongly condemn it.”

Deri: “The Shas movement strongly condemns the acts of violence, vandalism, and riots by a handful of extremists in Bnei Brak. These actions are completely contrary to the path of the Torah, harm the entire Haredi public, cause desecration of God, and inflict serious damage on the just struggle for the world of Torah.

Get out of our educational institutions!”

United Torah Judaism chairman Goldknopf: “I was shocked by the footage. I strongly condemn the violence against the security forces in Bnei Brak. This is contrary to the Torah of Israel - its ways are ways of pleasantness.”

Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef: “We must strongly condemn the handful of rioters who desecrate the name of Heaven there. The Torah of Israel is ways of pleasantness and all its paths are peace. Their behavior has no place among us; they must be denounced and removed from the camp.”

Chief of Staff LTG Eyal Zamir condemned the attack on the soldiers and said any harm to IDF personnel by Israeli civilians is a severe crossing of a red line. He said the attackers must be dealt with firmly and face the full force of the law.
