💥 U.S. STRIKE ON KHARG ISLAND AND IRANIAN THREATS TO THE REGION: President Trump announced that the U.S. military carried out a major bombing raid on Kharg Island, saying American forces “totally obliterated” military targets on the island, which hosts the terminal that handles around 90% of Iran’s oil exports.
Trump said the U.S. deliberately avoided striking the island’s oil infrastructure, but warned Washington could reconsider if Iran interferes with shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
An Iranian official told Fars News Agency: "Trump's claim about destroying the defenses on Kharg Island is false. The defenses were activated an hour after the attack".
The Iranian General Staff at Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters said: "We urge Muslims in the UAE to evacuate ports, docks, and locations used by U.S. forces in Emirati cities to avoid harm".
The same also said: "The US military targeted the Iranian islands of Abu Musa and Kharg with missiles after its bases in the region were destroyed. We announce to the leaders of the UAE that we reserve the right to strike the sources of those missiles at shipping ports and at the hideouts of American military personnel. We call on the Emirati people to evacuate the sites where American military personnel are hiding".
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqhchi said: "The attack on Kharg Island was launched from the territories of our neighbors, and the Americans are firing HIMARS missiles from neighboring countries. Yesterday's American attacks were launched from Ras Al Khaimah and a location near Dubai".
The IRGC said: "We warn the US regime to evacuate all American industries in the region and urge residents living near factories in which Americans hold shares to leave those areas to avoid harm".
‼️ STRAIT OF HORMUZ REMAINS A CENTRAL IRANIAN WAR OBJECTIVE: Iran said docks on Qeshm Island, at the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz, were hit by missiles. The island hosts IRGC Navy forces, missiles, drones, and fast boats.
An IRGC Navy official said: "If America claims to be destroying our naval forces, why is the Strait of Hormuz still closed?"
An Iranian source also told Reuters: "The IRGC strongly believes that if Iran loses control of the Strait of Hormuz, it will lose the war. The IRGC will not accept any ceasefire, talks, or diplomatic efforts".
♟️ U.S. AND UK EXPAND REGIONAL MILITARY POSTURE: The Pentagon is deploying a Marine Expeditionary Unit of up to 2,500 Marines to the Middle East following intensified Iranian attacks in the Strait of Hormuz, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The UK Defense Ministry said: "Overnight, UK Typhoon jets flew air defence operations over Bahrain for the first time. British Typhoon and F-35 jets are now flying in defence of British interests and allies across Qatar, Cyprus, UAE, Jordan, and Bahrain".
⚠️ IDF OPERATIONS CONTINUE INSIDE IRAN: The IDF said an Israeli Air Force fighter jet was nearly shot down during an airstrike over Iran, but the attempt failed because of the pilot’s “alertness and professionalism”.
The IDF also said it killed additional members of the IRGC’s Basij paramilitary force who were manning checkpoints in Tehran. A similar wave of drone strikes was also conducted on Wednesday night.
A source told Reuters: "Israel launches a new phase of its attack on Iran, targeting IRGC checkpoints".
Fars News Agency reported that the number of police and security patrols on Iranian streets has tripled during the war. The Iranian National Police Command said it arrested two people accused of spying and giving Mossad the locations of important sites.
