šŸ”„ KUWAITI POWER AND WATER FACILITIES HIT: Iranian attacks struck several Kuwaiti electricity-generation and water-desalination plants yesterday evening, causing fires at multiple facilities, according to Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy.

Emergency teams extinguished the fires and began repairs. Several generating units were taken offline as a precaution to protect equipment and maintain the stability of Kuwait’s electricity and water systems.

The ministry stated: ā€œPower plants and water desalination facilities were attacked yesterday by Iranā€.

šŸ›”ļø UAE CONDEMNS ATTACKS: The UAE strongly condemned renewed Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan, calling them a flagrant violation of sovereignty and a threat to regional security and stability.

āŒ U.S. EXPANDS SANCTIONS ON IRAN: Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said China has substantially reduced its purchases of Iranian oil as Washington expanded sanctions targeting Iran’s petroleum and digital-asset sectors.

The Treasury designated more than 50 individuals, entities and vessels connected to the network of Mohammad Hossein Shamkhani, son of Iranian security official Ali Shamkhani. The action brought the total sanctioned under the network to more than 200.

Authorities also froze more than $130 million held in digital wallets linked to Iran’s Central Bank, targeting sanctions-evasion channels used to fund IRGC operations.

The measures follow four consecutive days of U.S. strikes, the reimposition of a naval blockade and Iranian retaliatory attacks on shipping after Tehran began blocking transit through the Strait of Hormuz.
