🚨 TERRORIST KILLS ONE AND WOUNDS SIX IN THREE-LOCATION SHOOTING NEAR KOCHAV YA'IR BEFORE BEING NEUTRALIZED BY SECURITY FORCES

🎯 Deadly shooting attack near Kochav Ya'ir: One person was killed and at least six others were injured in a shooting attack carried out at three locations near the security barrier in the Kochav Ya'ir area.

IDF soldiers and security forces were dispatched to the areas of Sal'it and Tzur Yitzhak following reports of multiple shooting incidents. The terrorist was neutralized at the scene.

Magen David Adom said it treated two men injured at a gas station near Kochav Ya'ir, including one seriously wounded; a man and woman moderately injured near Tzur Yitzhak; and two people shot near Tzur Natan.

One of the victims near Tzur Natan, a 31-year-old man, was pronounced dead. Another man in his 40s was evacuated to a hospital in critical condition.

Police later said the terrorist was a resident of the nearby Arab city of Tayibe. Officers recovered a makeshift “Carlo” submachine gun used in the attack.

Contrary to the initial military assessment, police said only one terrorist carried out the attack. The IDF’s earlier report regarding a second attacker appears to have referred to the same terrorist.

⚠️ Violent clashes reported in Huwara area: IDF and Border Police forces were dispatched to several locations near Huwara following reports of suspected livestock theft involving Israeli civilians.

Security forces worked to remove Israeli civilians and livestock from the area and prevent confrontation.

Violent clashes later broke out between Israeli civilians and Palestinians, including rock hurling and the use of batons. The IDF said it is aware of claims that several Palestinians were injured.

Security forces dispersed the disturbances using riot dispersal means and remain deployed in the area.

The Judea and Samaria District Police opened an investigation into the incident.

The IDF stated it “strongly condemns violence of any kind that undermines security in the area and diverts the attention of commanders and soldiers from their operational duties.”

The military also said it is reviewing footage showing an IDF soldier using violence against a Palestinian.

“The actions depicted in the footage are serious and inconsistent with the values of the IDF,” the military said.

The IDF stated that once the soldier is identified, disciplinary proceedings and appropriate command measures will be taken in accordance with the findings.
