🛡️ LEBANON SECURITY ZONE TO BE MAINTAINED: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Israel Katz, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, and Northern Command chief Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo held a call regarding the situation in Lebanon.
In a joint statement, Netanyahu, Katz, and Zamir said: "The IDF will continue to act decisively to thwart threats to our soldiers and civilians, destroy terror infrastructure, and continue maintaining the security zone in southern Lebanon."
They added: "The prime minister, the defense minister, and the chief of staff clarified that the security of Israel's civilians and IDF troops will continue to remain before their eyes without compromise."
❌ MORE THAN 240 FIREARMS CONFISCATED IN JUDEA AND SAMARIA SINCE START OF 2026: The IDF reported that more than 240 firearms and numerous additional weapons have been confiscated throughout Judea and Samaria since the beginning of 2026.
Security forces have located firearms, ammunition, weapon-manufacturing equipment, and other terrorist equipment concealed within civilian areas.
During an operation in April, troops discovered ammunition for long-barreled and short-barreled weapons hidden inside a well-known hardware store in Bethlehem within the Etzion Regional Brigade area. The store owner was later apprehended.
In another case, troops located a lathe used to manufacture weapons inside a civilian building in Shechem within the Samaria Regional Brigade area. The owner of the site was also apprehended.
According to the IDF, the findings provide additional evidence of terrorist organizations embedding themselves within civilian areas and exploiting civilian infrastructure for terrorist purposes. Security forces stated they will continue operations throughout Judea and Samaria to thwart terrorism and safeguard Israeli civilians.
🎯 OCTOBER 7 TERRORIST WHO HELD OMER SHEM TOV ELIMINATED IN GAZA: Over the weekend, the IDF and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) eliminated Sabai Zaher Abd al-Hamid Abu Hasna, a Hamas Nukhba Force terrorist, in a precise strike in northern Gaza.
According to the IDF, Abu Hasna infiltrated Israel during the October 7 massacre, participated in holding Omer Shem Tov hostage in Gaza, planted explosive devices throughout the war, and recently attempted to advance attacks against IDF troops operating in the area.
When Shem Tov was released by Hamas, Abu Hasna was seen during the staged handover ceremony being kissed on the head by Shem Tov under the direction of Hamas cameramen.
The strike also eliminated Ahmed Samir Muhammad Washah, whom the IDF identified as a Hamas military wing terrorist who simultaneously worked as a photojournalist for Al Jazeera and served as a Hamas sniper operative.
In a separate strike in northern Gaza, the IDF eliminated three armed Hamas terrorists who were attempting to advance attacks against Israeli forces.
The military noted that it has intensified strikes in recent months against terrorist operatives in Gaza, including October 7 participants, citing ongoing threats to Israeli troops operating in the Strip.
