⚠️ IRAN CONDEMNS STRIKE ON DARKHOVIN POWER PLANT: Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said: “The US attack on the Darkhovin power plant under construction is a dangerous attack on Iran's peaceful infrastructure and places full responsibility for the consequences of the escalation of insecurity and instability on the US government. Iran, while strongly condemning this aggression, will take appropriate action to defend its national interests and security.”
🇺🇸 TRUMP SAYS IRAN HAS BEEN SEVERELY DAMAGED AND U.S. CONTROLS THE STRAIT: President Trump said the United States carried out additional strikes “in honor” of the “great patriots” recently killed in the war with Iran.
Trump said Iran had been “very, very badly damaged” militarily and argued that the country no longer posed the same threat.
“We control the strait. They don't control anything.”
The president reiterated that Iran “could not have a nuclear weapon” and said the situation would continue to be closely watched.
“Iran has lost everything almost militarily. They got some missiles. We control the strait. They don’t control anything. We hit them hard tonight and we did in honor of the probably three as opposed to two great patriots.”
🔸 RUBIO SAYS U.S. REMAINS OPEN TO DIPLOMACY AMID DIVISIONS IN IRAN: U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said:
“The US is open to reaching a diplomatic solution with Iran. We are receiving signals through multiple channels indicating Iran's willingness to negotiate, but there is a growing division within the regime. Iranians who are willing to negotiate, if they were to gain control of the situation, that would be a positive development, but that hasn't happened.”
Rubio added: “Iran was supposed to issue a statement announcing the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, but instead, it attacked ships.”
