🇮🇱 Netanyahu says Israel remains committed to Ron Arad mission and outlines wider campaign: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israeli forces carried out a special operation overnight to locate and return navigator Ron Arad, who fell captive in Lebanon about 40 years ago.
"Our brave fighters went out last night on a special operation to locate and return navigator Ron Arad, who fell captive in Lebanon about 40 years ago. For many long years, we have been relentlessly engaged in this mission. The operation carried out last night did not yield the findings we were looking for, but the commitment of the State of Israel and my commitment to completing all missions concerning our prisoners and missing persons is absolute and permanent."
In the same statement, Netanyahu said:
"As I promised you immediately after the seventh of October - we are changing the face of the Middle East."
He said Khamenei gave the order to bury the nuclear weapon deep underground to make it completely secure, and warned there was a danger Iran would act first against Israel, which led to the timing of Operation Roaring Lion.
Netanyahu also said many countries are now turning to Israel for cooperation because "we are strong, right, and fighting," and stated that Iran attacked 12 countries in recent days.
He further warned:
"If the Lebanese government does not take responsibility for Hezbollah - there will be disastrous consequences for Lebanon."
"We tell Hezbollah that whoever lays down his weapons will save his life, and whoever doesn't will be putting his life at risk. IRGC members who surrender their weapons will not be harmed."
