💥 STRIKES ON HEZBOLLAH COMMAND CENTERS IN BEIRUT AND SOUTHERN LEBANON: The Israeli Air Force leveled a multi-story building and struck additional structures in Beirut overnight that the IDF says were used as Hezbollah command centers. The targets included headquarters belonging to Hezbollah’s Radwan Force and its intelligence division.
In the southern Lebanon town of At Tiri, the IDF struck another Hezbollah command center that it says had been embedded inside the Al-Nour radio station studio. The military says the site was hit while Hezbollah operatives were at the location.
💥 LITANI RIVER CROSSINGS TARGETED TO DISRUPT HEZBOLLAH MOVEMENT: The IDF struck key crossings over the Litani River that it says Hezbollah used to move operatives and weapons into southern Lebanon. The al-Dalafa Bridge on the eastern portion of the river was struck after the military had warned it would bomb it.
Overnight, the IDF also struck another main crossing used by Hezbollah to move from north to south of the Litani River. According to the military, the crossings were used to transfer weapons, rockets, and launchers intended for attacks on the State of Israel.
The IDF says the crossings were struck to prevent harm to Israeli civilians as well as Lebanese civilians. The military says it will continue operating with force against Hezbollah.
🪖 GROUND ACTIVITY AND INFRASTRUCTURE DISCOVERIES: IDF troops operating on the Lebanese side of Mount Dov recently located a Hezbollah tunnel shaft. The forces also demolished additional structures used by the terror group.
⚠️ KATZ SAYS ISRAEL WILL CONTROL A SECURITY ZONE UP TO THE LITANI RIVER: Defense Minister Israel Katz says Israel will control a security zone in southern Lebanon, up to the Litani River, until the Hezbollah threat is removed. He made the remarks during an assessment this morning with IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir and other senior officers.
"The IDF will continue to operate in Lebanon with full force against Hezbollah. Hundreds of thousands of residents of southern Lebanon who evacuated northward will not return south of the Litani River until security for the residents of the north is ensured," he says.
Katz also says all bridges over the Litani River that had been used by Hezbollah to move operatives and weapons into southern Lebanon "have been blown up," and that the IDF will control the remaining bridges and the security zone up to the Litani.
"The principle is clear: Where there is terror and missiles, there will be no homes and no residents, and the IDF is inside," he adds.
❗️ IDF SOLDIER MODERATELY INJURED IN OPERATIONAL ACCIDENT: An IDF soldier was moderately wounded during military operations in southern Lebanon earlier today. According to an initial IDF probe, he was hit by shrapnel and not by enemy fire.
The soldier was evacuated to a hospital, and his family was notified.
💥 OPERATIONS IN SOUTHERN LEBANON:
Troops of the “Mountains” Brigade (810), under the command of Division 210, are operating in the Lebanese section of the Mt. Dov area as part of a forward defensive posture.
During a targeted operation, the forces located a Hezbollah tunnel shaft. In a separate operation, they destroyed a Hezbollah weapons compound.
