💥 SOUTHERN LEBANON OPERATIONS: The IDF struck command centers in the Bint Jbeil area used by Hezbollah’s anti-tank unit during operations by the 91st “Galilee” Division in southern Lebanon.
In one of the strikes earlier this week, five Hezbollah anti-tank operatives were killed.
❌ ADDITIONAL HEZBOLLAH TARGETS HIT: The Israeli Air Force carried out additional strikes last night on Hezbollah infrastructure in the area, including anti-tank missile launch positions.
The military says one of the targeted positions had been intended for use against IDF troops operating nearby.
🪖 GROUND ACTIVITY CONTINUES: IDF troops continue targeted ground operations in southern Lebanon to strengthen the forward defensive posture and protect civilians in northern Israel.
Over the past several days, forces struck multiple terror infrastructure sites and anti-tank targets to remove threats directed at both troops in the area and Israeli communities in the north.
🛡️ IRON DOME PRODUCTION TALKS: Volkswagen is negotiating with Rafael to produce Iron Dome components at its Osnabrück plant, according to a Financial Times report.
Production at the converted facility could begin within 12 to 18 months, subject to employee approval for a shift from car manufacturing to defense production, with support from the German government.
🇱🇧 LEBANON MOVES AGAINST IRANIAN AMBASSADOR: Lebanon has recalled its ambassador to Iran for consultations amid rising tensions between the two countries. It has also declared the Iranian ambassador in Beirut persona non grata and ordered him to leave the country by Sunday.
According to Al Hadath, Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and the Hezbollah leadership asked the Iranian ambassador to remain in Beirut despite the decision by the Lebanese Foreign Ministry.
🗣️ HEZBOLLAH REJECTS THE DECISION: Hezbollah stated: "We reject the decision of the Lebanese Foreign Ministry, which is devoid of any legal justification, to withdraw approval for the accreditation of the Iranian ambassador".
🇫🇷🇮🇱 MACRON-HERZOG CALL ON ISRAEL-LEBANON TALKS: The President of France spoke with President Herzog. Macron said: “I am convinced that the renewal of direct talks between Israel and Lebanon is an opportunity that must be seized. France is working to advance this goal.”
President Herzog said this evening at the site of the fall in Tel Aviv: “Today something historic happened: the Lebanese government decided to expel and deport the Iranian ambassador. In Lebanon this is a revolution, since the Iranian ambassador was de facto the high commissioner there. This is a significant statement, which also requires an understanding of the changes that may occur and that we must not miss them, while alongside the military action we must also complete diplomatic moves.”
🔹 NEW DEFENSE MINISTRY UNIT ON HILLTOP YOUTH: After pressure from Washington to take action on the issue, the government will approve the establishment of a unit in the Ministry of Defense to deal with the hilltop youth.
The unit will receive a budget of 130 million shekels over the next three years.
