He said the IDF would intensify operations wherever necessary to thwart terrorism, protect Israeli civilians and prevent further escalation. He stressed that the IDF, Israel Police and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) are responsible for maintaining law and order and combating terrorism in the area.

❗️ WEAPON RECOVERED AFTER VIOLENT CONFRONTATION NEAR SUSYA: Following an initial report of a shooting near the community of Susya, the IDF clarified that the incident was not a shooting attack. A violent confrontation had erupted between Israeli civilians and Palestinians near a farm in the area, during which both sides hurled rocks.

An initial IDF inquiry determined that terrorists attacked an off-duty IDF soldier and stole his weapon. Shots were subsequently fired into the air, but no injuries were caused by the gunfire.

IDF soldiers located and recovered the weapon shortly afterward. Forces continued pursuing the terrorist and established roadblocks in the area.

A 25-year-old Israeli man suffered a head injury after being struck by a rock. Magen David Adom evacuated him to a hospital in moderate condition.
