🔹 Pre-ceasefire special operation in southern Lebanon: Minutes before the ceasefire took effect, IDF soldiers from an elite unit conducted a special operation in the “Christophani Ridge” area in southern Lebanon.
The forces landed in the area and established an operational presence under approval from the IDF Chief of the General Staff, with the operation commanded by the Israeli Air Force Commander and the Northern Command chief.
🔹 Airstrike error under investigation: During an airstrike ahead of the ceasefire in southern Lebanon yesterday, a munition mistakenly struck next to IDF ground troops.
"Due to a human error, the munition did not hit the target and fell next to the forces," the IDF says, adding that no injuries were caused and the incident is under further investigation.
🔹 Strikes on terrorists violating Lebanon ceasefire: Since the ceasefire took effect, IDF soldiers south of the Yellow Line have identified several incidents in which terrorists approached from north of the Yellow Line toward the forces.
The Israeli Air Force and ground troops carried out precise strikes to remove the threat, while artillery fire supported troops in the area and infrastructure used to facilitate attacks was also struck.
🔹 Terrorist cell eliminated near forward defense line: Earlier today, IDF soldiers identified a terrorist cell approaching forces in southern Lebanon in violation of the ceasefire understandings.
The Israeli Air Force struck and eliminated the terrorists, and the IDF also targeted an underground shaft south of the forward defense line after Hezbollah operatives were identified entering it. A hit was identified.
🔹 Two terrorists eliminated in Gaza ceasefire violations: In two separate incidents today, IDF troops identified two Palestinian terror operatives who crossed the Gaza ceasefire line and approached forces in a manner that posed an immediate threat.
Reservists from the 205th "Iron Fist" Armored Brigade operating in northern Gaza and the Negev Brigade stationed in southern Gaza eliminated the terrorists to remove the threat.
The IDF says it is operating in accordance with directives from the political echelon.
According to the military, actions taken in self-defense and to remove immediate threats are not restricted by the ceasefire, and the IDF will continue acting to protect Israeli civilians and deployed forces.
