🪖 IDF OPERATES HASMONEAN BRIGADE IN SOUTHERN LEBANON, IDENTIFIES HEZBOLLAH WEAPONS; CIVILIAN KILLED BY ERRANT IDF FIRE, IRAN LAUNCHES MISSILE ATTACK TOWARD ISRAEL

🪖 HASMONEAN BRIGADE OPERATING IN SOUTHERN LEBANON FOR THE FIRST TIME: Fighters of the Hasmonean Brigade, under the command of the “Bar’am” Formation (300), have been operating in recent weeks in southern Lebanon, conducting targeted raids in several areas as part of the forward defense effort.

The soldiers previously took part in operational activity in Syria, the Judea and Samaria Division, and the Gaza Strip, and are now operating in Lebanon for the first time.

Yesterday (Sunday), the brigade also began the first cycle of its officer training course at the Hasmonean Brigade training base.

From the words of the Hasmonean Brigade commander, Colonel “Shin”: “The Hasmonean Brigade will continue to operate with bravery in every arena where it is required. Alongside operational activity, we will continue training the next generation of Haredi commanders who will lead the brigade forward. This is another milestone for the brigade, which will continue to operate on the front lines while maintaining the Haredi way of life of its soldiers.”

🎯 IDF LOCATES ANTI-TANK MISSILE POST AND WEAPONS IN SOUTHERN LEBANON: IDF soldiers located an anti-tank missile post and additional weapons yesterday during ongoing targeted ground activity aimed at strengthening the forward defense area in southern Lebanon.

The IDF said it is operating against the Hezbollah terrorist organization following its decision to attack Israel on behalf of the Iranian terror regime, and is working to remove threats to Israeli civilians.

❗️ IDF CONFIRMS CIVILIAN KILLED BY ERRANT ARTILLERY FIRE NEAR MISGAV AM: An inquiry led by Northern Command Commander MG Rafi Milo found that 60-year-old Ofer (“Poshko”) Moskovitz was killed by IDF artillery fire intended to support soldiers operating in southern Lebanon, and not by a Hezbollah attack.

According to the initial findings, severe issues and operational errors occurred in both the planning and execution of the fire.

The artillery was carried out at an incorrect angle and did not follow required procedures, resulting in five shells striking the Misgav Am ridge instead of the enemy target.

Milo said: “This is a very severe incident. Ofer (‘Poshko’) Moskovitz was killed by our own forces’ fire during an operation whose entire purpose was to protect them.”

The IDF said the family has been informed, expressed regret over the incident, and said the findings will be reviewed by the relevant bodies and presented transparently to the family and later to the public.

🚨 IRAN LAUNCHES BALLISTIC MISSILE ATTACK TOWARD ISRAEL; NO IMPACT SITES FOUND: Sirens sounded across the Jerusalem area and parts of southern and central Israel during what was described as the third Iranian ballistic missile attack since midnight.

Rescue forces and medics initially responded to reports of two possible impact sites, though it was not immediately clear whether the reports referred to direct missile impacts, submunitions from a cluster bomb warhead, or falling fragments following interceptions.

Magen David Adom said there were no immediate reports of injuries, and rescue services later said no impact sites were located.

💥 LEBANESE MEDIA REPORT ISRAELI STRIKE ON LITANI RIVER BRIDGE: Lebanese media reported that the Israeli Air Force struck the Qaaqaait al-Jisr Bridge on the Litani River, which had already been bombed several days earlier.

Images said to be from the scene indicate the bridge is now destroyed.

Israel has warned that it would strike all crossings on the Litani River, accusing Hezbollah of using them to move operatives and weapons into southern Lebanon.
