🎯 HAMAS OPERATIONS CHIEF ELIMINATED IN GAZA: The IDF and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) carried out a strike in northern Gaza, eliminating Iyad Ahmed Abd al-Rahman Shambari, Head of the Operations Department in Hamas’ Military Intelligence Headquarters.
Shambari was responsible for compiling operational situational assessments across Gaza. He also played a central role in gathering intelligence on IDF troops to direct and execute attacks, posing an immediate threat to forces in the area.
He took part in planning Hamas’ infiltration during the October 7 massacre. IDF troops under Southern Command remain deployed in accordance with the agreement and continue operating to remove immediate threats.
⚠️ ISRAEL MOVES AGAINST GAZA-BOUND ACTIVIST FLOTILLA: Defense Minister Israel Katz says he imposed sanctions on fundraisers behind the Global Sumud Flotilla, which is expected to approach Gaza with around 100 vessels and 1,000 participants.
The Israeli Navy is preparing to intercept the flotilla, as it has done in past incidents, before it reaches Gaza’s coast.
Katz says the campaign is “organized by the Hamas terror organization, in cooperation with additional international organizations and under the guise of a humanitarian aid flotilla.”
“The imposition of sanctions on the crowdfunding campaign constitutes a significant step in the effort to disrupt the flotilla's sources of funding,” the statement reads, adding that it is “intended to deter donors from contributing to a terror organization.”
Israeli law allows the defense minister to order the seizure of property belonging to a designated terror organization or intended for terrorism. It is unclear what practical effect the sanctions will have.
Israel has previously dismissed flotillas as publicity stunts after organizers rejected calls to transfer their symbolic aid to Israel or international organizations for distribution inside Gaza through official channels.
❌ TERROR ATTACK IN JUDEA AND SAMARIA THWARTED: During IDF activity in Silwad, two terrorists attacked two IDF soldiers, who were wounded and evacuated for medical treatment.
The soldiers opened fire, eliminating one attacker and neutralizing and apprehending the second. The families of the injured soldiers have been notified.
❗️ IDF CHIEF, NETANYAHU AND KATZ CONDEMN ATTACK ON SENIOR OFFICER’S HOME: IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir condemned ultra-Orthodox extremists who broke into the Ashkelon home of Military Police chief Brig. Gen. Yuval Yamin while his family was inside.
“I strongly condemn the attack. Harm to security personnel and their families constitutes the crossing of a dangerous red line,” Zamir said.
He said he “fully backs” Yamin for the “dedicated fulfillment of his duties.”
“This is a grave incident, and decisive action is required by all law enforcement and security authorities to bring those involved to justice,” Zamir added.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “I strongly condemn the wild and violent attack against the chief Military Police officer and demand that firm action be taken against those involved.”
Defense Minister Israel Katz said he “strongly” condemns the incident, describing those involved as “a group of violent criminals who must be brought to justice with the full severity of the law.”
“I fully back behind Brig. Gen. Yuval Yamin and make it clear: We will not allow harm to IDF commanders and soldiers,” Katz added.
