🪖 Southern Lebanon Operations: Troops from the 401st Brigade, under the command of the 91st Division, continue limited, targeted operations in southern Lebanon as part of a forward defense posture against Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure.
The forces are operating in evacuated areas that Hezbollah terrorists used to exploit civilian infrastructure for terrorist activity.
During the activity, troops located weapons and incitement materials inside a structure used by Hezbollah terrorist operatives. They also dismantled a weapons cache belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization.
❗️ Israeli Defense Minister Statement: Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said the IDF has begun a ground maneuver in Lebanon aimed at removing threats and protecting residents of the Galilee and northern Israel.
Katz said: "The IDF has begun a ground maneuver in Lebanon in order to remove threats and protect the residents of the Galilee and the north. Hezbollah will pay a heavy price for its aggression and its activity in the Iranian axis aimed at destroying Israel. If Naim Qassem misses Nasrallah and Khamenei so much — he will be able to meet them soon in the depths of hell together with all those eliminated from the axis of evil".
🗣️ Lebanese Government Response: Lebanese Foreign Minister Youssef Rajji said: "No armed group outside the state framework will be allowed to plunge Lebanon into chaos in service of suspicious agendas".
💥 Strike on Iranian Space Warfare Infrastructure: In Tehran, the Israeli Air Force destroyed a compound belonging to the Iranian terror regime that was used to develop attack capabilities against satellites.
According to the IDF, the compound was used for military space programs, including development of the “Chamran-1” satellite, built by the Iranian Ministry of Defense’s electronics industries and launched into space in September 2024 by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
The IDF said the site posed a threat to Israeli satellites and to space assets of other countries around the world. It added that the strike follows last Friday’s attack on another space-related research compound belonging to the Iranian Space Organization in Tehran.
⚠️ Strait of Hormuz Tensions: The White House said: "Our NATO allies should intervene and contribute to reopening the Strait of Hormuz".
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqhchi said: "America started the war in search of our unconditional surrender, and now it's begging other countries to open the Strait of Hormuz. The Strait of Hormuz is open, but it is closed to our enemies".
Araqhchi also said: "This war must end in a way that does not allow our enemies to repeat their attacks".
▪️ Shipping Activity: The Financial Times reported that a Pakistan-owned ship became the first oil tanker carrying a non-Iranian cargo to cross the Strait of Hormuz since the start of the war.
