🚁 Aerial interceptions over southern Lebanon: The Israeli Air Force intercepted two suspicious aerial targets identified near areas where IDF troops are operating in southern Lebanon. Both targets were stopped before crossing into Israeli territory, and no sirens were activated in accordance with protocol.
💥 IDF strikes Hezbollah operatives and infrastructure: Earlier today, Israeli forces carried out airstrikes and artillery fire against Hezbollah positions north of the Israeli-held security zone. Targets included rocket-launching squads preparing attacks, a primed launcher, a weapons depot, and buildings used by the group.
The IDF also struck Hezbollah operatives inside a building known to be used by the group, as well as another operative traveling on a motorcycle.
🚀 Israel deploys Iron Dome system to UAE: According to Axios, Israel transferred an Iron Dome air defense system to the United Arab Emirates earlier in the war with Iran, along with personnel to operate it.
🔱 U.S. enforces maritime blockade on Iranian-linked vessels: U.S. Central Command announced the interception of another vessel tied to Iran’s sanctioned “shadow fleet,” bringing the total number of stopped ships to 37 since the blockade began.
The merchant vessel M/V Sevan, identified as one of 19 ships recently sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury for transporting Iranian energy products, was intercepted in the Arabian Sea by a U.S. Navy helicopter operating from the USS Pinckney. The vessel is now complying with orders to return toward Iran under U.S. military escort.
⚖️ Political developments in Israel ahead of elections: Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett announced the formation of a joint political bloc with Yair Lapid under the name “Together.”
President Isaac Herzog congratulated Bennett and said he welcomes the alliance, calling it a “much needed change.”
Likud responded: "Even together it is clear - the driver is Mansour [Mansour Abbas, head of the ultraconservative United Arab List]. No matter how the left divides its votes. In any case, Bennett and Lapid will go again with the Muslim Brotherhood alliance [in reference to the United Arab List Party], which supports terrorism,".
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich described the bloc as an "alliance of servants for [the Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud] Abbas."
