📉 Economic pressure intensifies across Iran
Food prices in Iran have surged sharply in recent days. Channel 14 Diplomatic Correspondent Tamir Morag reported that meat prices have risen by approximately 700 percent, while other food products have increased by around 100 percent.
The Iranian rial has also weakened sharply, with the exchange rate now above 1.3 million rials per US dollar.
⚡ Energy strain and emergency measures reported: Senior Iran analyst Dror Balazada reported that Iranian President Pazeshkian has asked citizens to reduce household electricity usage.
Iran is also reportedly moving a decommissioned oil tanker to Kharg Island, likely to expand temporary oil storage capacity.
🗣️ Iran issues direct retaliation warning: Iranian Vice President Esmail Saghab Esfahani warned that any damage to Iran’s oil infrastructure due to blockade pressure would trigger retaliation against countries supporting the aggressor.
“If any part of our infrastructure, including oil wells, is damaged as a result of a blockade, we guarantee that four times that damage will be inflicted on the same infrastructure in countries that support the aggressor,” he wrote on X.
“Our math is different; one oil well equals four oil wells,” Saghab added.
