🇮🇷 Iranian leadership statements: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqhchi said: "We have not requested a ceasefire and we reject any negotiations with the US. We see no reason to negotiate with the US after their attack on us during the negotiations. The attack that occurred in the midst of negotiations has caused us to be averse to any future talks".
Araqhchi also said: "We have no intention of closing the Strait of Hormuz, and we may consider all options as the war continues".
He added: "We are ready to face an American ground invasion".
Araqhchi further said: "We have not attacked our neighbors and Muslim countries. We have attacked American targets and American bases and installations, which are unfortunately located on the soil of our neighbors".
A senior Iranian official told Al Jazeera: "The infrastructure, equipment, and weapons of the IRGC were not damaged, contrary to Washington's claims".
The same official said: "We are not looking for a way out of the war, but we will close all exit routes for the enemy".
🇺🇸 President Trump statements: President Trump said: "Iran is attacking countries that have nothing to do with what's happening and is targeting only civilian areas".
He said: "The worst-case scenario is that we strike Iran and someone else seizes power who is just as bad as the previous one".
Trump added: "The Strait of Hormuz will be kept open".
He also said: "We support the Kurds launching an attack on Iran and I think it's great if they want to do that".
Trump told Politico: "We will work with the people and the system to ensure the arrival of someone who can build Iran well, but without nuclear weapons. Trump also told Politico: "Iran no longer has a naval or air force, nor radars to detect aircraft, all of which have been completely destroyed".
