🌐 YEMEN, HEZBOLLAH, SYRIA AND ISRAELI POLITICAL DEVELOPMENTS

⚔️ YEMEN: The Houthis launched missile and drone attacks against Saudi-backed Yemeni government forces in Marib, including the Sahn al-Jinn military camp, targeting personnel, weapons, vehicles and supply depots. Government forces said they responded against Houthi forces and equipment following attacks in Marib and Hadramout.

The Houthis also claimed a drone attack on Saudi Aramco's Jazan refinery, where Saudi authorities said a resulting fire was extinguished without injuries. Separate missile and drone strikes on Al-Mukha Port caused fires and heavy damage.

🛡️ LEBANON / HEZBOLLAH: Israel and Lebanon have agreed on a shortlist of countries that could provide forces to verify Hezbollah's disarmament under a U.S.-brokered agreement, with Washington expected to select one or more participants. Reuters reported that Israel and the U.S. vetoed France, while a separate Lebanese report identified the UK, Switzerland, Azerbaijan and Indonesia as possible participants in areas from which the IDF would withdraw.

🔒 SYRIA-LEBANON ARMS SMUGGLING: Syrian Internal Security Forces say they intercepted a weapons shipment in Tartus bound for Lebanon, seizing automatic rifles, RPG rounds, magazines and ammunition.

📍 RUSSIA-SYRIA: After 18 months of negotiations, Syria and Russia agreed to restructure Moscow's presence at Hmeimim and Tartous. Civilian facilities, including Hmeimim Airport and Tartous Port's fourth commercial berth, will gradually return to Syrian management, while Russian military facilities will become joint Syrian-Russian training centers. The transition is expected within three months.

🗳️ ISRAELI POLITICS: Gilad Erdan said Likud recently offered him a reserved place on its electoral slate and that he declined, while supporting a broad right-led government that advances military conscription. Likud denied that Prime Minister Netanyahu offered him a reserved position and separately accused Erdan and Yuli Edelstein of attempting to transfer right-wing votes to a government led by Gadi Eisenkot alongside Yair Golan and the Muslim Brotherhood.
