⚔️ U.S. STRIKES TARGET IRANIAN PORTS AND NAVAL FACILITIES AS MARITIME CLASHES EXPAND ACROSS THE GULF
💥 U.S. Strikes Inside Iran: Explosions were reported across Bandar Abbas, Minab, Sirik County, and Qeshm Island during the confrontation. Fox News cited a senior U.S. official confirming strikes on Qeshm Port, Bandar Abbas, Minab Naval Base, and additional Iranian military infrastructure linked to the maritime clashes. The official stated the operation “does not represent a restart of the war.”
Iranian media also reported air defense activity over Bandar Abbas, strikes near an IRGC Navy facility in Minab, hostile drone activity over Tehran, and additional air defense engagements in western Tehran, including the Shahran area.
🛰️ Conflicting Iranian Reporting: Iranian state and semi-official outlets issued varying accounts regarding the fighting and explosions. Tasnim initially described some blasts as IRGC Navy warning operations against unauthorized ship passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
Later reporting from Fars described direct exchanges of fire between Iranian forces and the “enemy.” Subsequent Iranian state media reports denied confirmed airstrikes on Qeshm Island or Iranian ports, instead characterizing the events as naval clashes between the IRGC Navy and U.S. forces following alleged American attacks on Iranian vessels.
🌍 Iranian Accusations Toward Regional States: Iranian outlets accused regional actors of possible involvement in the confrontation. Tasnim and Mehr published reports suggesting potential UAE participation in attacks on Qeshm Island, with warnings that the UAE would “pay the price” if involvement was confirmed.
🇸🇦 Gulf States Restore Operational Access: Reports indicated that Saudi Arabia and Kuwait restored American access to regional airbases and airspace associated with “Project Freedom” after earlier restrictions. According to The Wall Street Journal and additional regional reporting, Saudi Arabia had initially been surprised by the operation announcement, while Prince Sultan Air Base and Saudi airspace temporarily restricted operational support.
Both Saudi Arabia and Kuwait reportedly restored access shortly before renewed American strikes. A U.S. official also stated that Saudi Arabia expressed frustration over President Trump’s public dismissal of Iranian attacks on Fujairah.
✈️ Regional Military Activity And Alerts: Several U.S. Air Force KC-135 refueling aircraft reportedly departed the UAE during the confrontation. Public maritime tracking data additionally showed multiple American warships operating within Emirati territorial waters.
Sirens and explosions were later reported in Abu Dhabi and Dubai during the escalation.
🎯 Gaza Operations: The IDF confirmed the elimination of Hamas terrorist Ibrahim Abu Tzakar, who participated in the October 7 massacre and the abduction of Mia Schem near Mefalsim following the Nova music festival attack.
According to the IDF, Abu Tzakar directed numerous attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF troops while operating under the cover of a paramedic. The IDF also struck a Hamas command center in northern Gaza where armed terrorists were operating to plan and carry out attacks against Israeli forces and civilians. Several terrorists were reportedly eliminated.
⚠️ Lebanon Front: Hezbollah launched mortar shells and rockets toward IDF troops operating in southern Lebanon during two separate incidents. The projectiles landed adjacent to Israeli forces. No injuries were reported.
