⚠️ U.S. security alerts and reported Yemen strike discussions: U.S. embassies across the Middle East reportedly issued coordinated security alerts warning that Iran and groups supportive of Iran may target American interests. President Donald Trump reportedly left Camp David a day early on Saturday night without explanation, the same day the warnings were issued.
CNN national security analyst Alex Plitsas said Trump held a meeting at Camp David to deliberate and review options for strikes in Yemen. The supplied reports do not establish a connection between his departure and the security alerts.
The State Department said regional tensions leave the security environment “complex with the potential for unforeseen escalation.” It urged Americans in the Middle East to exercise heightened vigilance and be aware of possible flight cancellations, airspace closures and travel disruptions.
“U.S. diplomatic facilities, including outside the Middle East, have been targeted,” the department said. “Iran and groups supportive of Iran may target other U.S. interests overseas or at locations associated with the United States and Americans throughout the world, including U.S. businesses and other institutions.”
The reported guidance includes “Do Not Travel” advisories for Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen and Gaza, with Americans in Iran urged to leave now. Saudi Arabia is listed as “Reconsider Travel.” Alerts were also reported in Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and Jordan.
🚫 UAE denies reported warning call to Netanyahu: The UAE denied that its ruler, MBZ, spoke with Netanyahu and conveyed warnings ahead of the October 7 attack. “Security matters are discussed at the relevant levels, not at the leadership level,” a senior Emirati official was quoted as saying by an official state news outlet.
In its September 19, 2026 report, The National said the response “refutes” recent claims that Abu Dhabi warned Israel of an imminent Hamas attack in the weeks before October 7. Responding to the outlet, a UAE official source said the "UAE discusses security matters with other countries through the relevant entities, and does not discuss such details at the level of national leaders".
The report noted that, with Israeli elections approaching, the alleged warning has become a major campaign issue for politicians focusing on security.
