⚠️ U.S.-ISRAEL PREPARATIONS FOR POSSIBLE RENEWED IRAN OPERATIONS EXPAND AS REGIONAL SECURITY ACTIVITY INTENSIFIES
🛡️ The Pentagon is reportedly preparing contingency plans for a possible renewal of military operations against Iran, potentially under a new operational designation rather than “Epic Fury.” According to The New York Times, U.S. and Israeli coordination and readiness activity has intensified since the ceasefire took effect, amid discussions surrounding renewed strikes should President Trump authorize further action.
🎯 The operational options reportedly under review include expanded strikes against Iranian military infrastructure and possible missions targeting underground nuclear-related assets. The report stated that scenarios under discussion include operations involving U.S. special forces and elements of the 82nd Airborne Division, including potential efforts to secure enriched uranium and strategic sites linked to Iran’s Gulf infrastructure.
🌍 The Telegraph reported that senior figures within the Trump administration have encouraged the UAE to assume a more active regional role against Iran. According to the report, discussions included the possibility of Emirati involvement regarding Iranian Gulf islands, including Lavan Island.
⚠️ Iranian officials continued issuing deterrent messaging. Iranian parliament National Security Committee spokesperson Ebrahim Rezaei warned that renewed war would inflict greater damage on Israel and its allies than on Iran itself.
🚨 The U.S. Department of Justice announced the arrest and transfer to the United States of Mohammed Baqir al-Saadi, a senior Kataib Hezbollah figure accused of directing attacks against U.S. and Israeli interests. U.S. prosecutors allege that al-Saadi planned at least 18 attacks across Europe and North America since February, including plots targeting American and Jewish civilians in New York and Los Angeles. The indictment also linked him personally to former IRGC Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani.
🔗 Reuters and Venezuelan authorities confirmed the deportation to the United States of Venezuelan official Alex Saab, who has long been identified as a liaison figure connecting Venezuela, the IRGC, and Hezbollah. Saab had previously faced U.S. corruption charges and was earlier released in a prisoner exchange before being re-arrested in Caracas earlier this year.
🛰️ President Trump announced that U.S. and Nigerian forces eliminated Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, described as ISIS’s global second-in-command, during a joint overnight operation in Nigeria. Trump stated that the operation significantly weakened ISIS’s external operational capabilities targeting both Africa and Western interests.
✈️ U.S. military air activity across the Middle East continued throughout the day. Multiple U.S. Air Force transport aircraft, including at least 11 C-17s, were observed departing the region toward Europe. Similar repositioning patterns reportedly preceded earlier U.S. strikes against Iran in February.
