🌍 Reports indicate the proposed U.S.-Iran memorandum is facing growing strain over sanctions relief, frozen Iranian assets, and Lebanon-related security clauses. While both sides reportedly showed initial willingness to soften some maximalist positions, negotiations have become increasingly contentious.
🇮🇱 Israeli concerns reportedly contributed to a tougher American negotiating position following discussions between Israeli officials and pro-Israel figures close to President Trump. According to reports, Washington is now demanding that Iran surrender its full enriched uranium stockpile in exchange for sanctions relief and access to frozen assets.
🛡️ Disputes also remain over the Lebanon framework included in the memorandum. Al-Jazeera reported that Israel is demanding language preserving “freedom of military action” against threats in Lebanon, while Iran is insisting on guarantees for a sustainable and lasting ceasefire.
🤝 According to Al-Jazeera, Iran informed mediators, including Pakistan, that it will not sign the memorandum unless all clauses are fully agreed and guaranteed. Pakistan reportedly proposed advancing agreed sections while postponing disputed points, but Tehran rejected the proposal.
📺 Israeli Channel 12 reported that two central disputes remain unresolved: Israel’s demand for operational freedom in Lebanon, which Iran rejects, and Tehran’s demand for the immediate release of frozen assets, which Washington reportedly refuses to approve before a final agreement is reached.
☢️ Mohsen Rezaee, advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader, warned that Iran could escalate its nuclear posture in the event of an attack. He stated that Iran could produce a nuclear bomb, close the Strait of Hormuz, and potentially withdraw from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
🪖 The IDF announced that a military exercise will take place tomorrow morning in the northern Golan Heights. Increased movement of security forces and vehicles, along with sounds of gunfire and explosions, are expected in the area as part of a pre-planned 2026 training exercise. The IDF stated there is no concern of a security incident.
