🇺🇸 TRUMP VOWS RESPONSE AFTER IRAN STRIKES U.S. FORCES: President Donald Trump said the United States will retaliate for Iran’s overnight ballistic-missile attack on U.S. forces in Jordan, saying, “We are going to hit them hard. There will be a response.” Jordan said it intercepted eight Iranian missiles, while Trump said nearly all incoming missiles were intercepted and that one was allowed through because it was not headed toward a significant target.
The Iranian attack followed the first known U.S. strikes inside Iran since late July. CENTCOM said U.S. forces struck two IRGC launchers on Larak Island in the Strait of Hormuz after Iranian forces were observed preparing rockets carrying sea mines that posed an “imminent threat” to shipping.
⚓ WASHINGTON CONSIDERS ADDITIONAL STRAIT OF HORMUZ STRIKES: Trump and senior aides have been considering limited strikes designed to prevent Iran from rebuilding radar and missile capabilities used against shipping. The plan was developed by CENTCOM and supported by Secretary of War Pete Hegseth but had not been approved before the latest exchange of fire.
A U.S. official told Axios that an Iranian anti-aircraft missile was recently launched toward a U.S. F-35 providing cover to ships in the Strait. A senior Iranian source told Reuters that Tehran would respond to every U.S. attack “dozens of times greater,” saying its retaliation demonstrated that “no target in the region is beyond Tehran’s reach.”
Trump separately called Iran “officially a Failed Nation,” described its leadership as being in “total disarray,” and claimed more than 100,000 Iranian protesters have been killed, a figure that has not been independently confirmed. Despite threatening military retaliation, he also said Iran wants negotiations “so badly,” while questioning whether Tehran can be trusted to reach an agreement and saying U.S. sanctions are “kicking in really strongly.”

🎯 IDF TARGETS HAMAS SUPPLY NETWORK IN GAZA CITY: The IDF said it eliminated Omar Mohammed Roshdy Saraj, a commander in Hamas’s Gaza City supply and maintenance company, in a strike in the Sabra area. According to the military, Saraj managed weapons supplies to Hamas terrorists in Gaza City.
Another Hamas military-wing operative was struck in the same attack. The IDF said both had recently advanced attacks against Israeli troops and civilians and worked to rehabilitate Hamas capabilities “in systematic violation of the ceasefire.” Gazan media separately reported that Israeli strikes in Gaza City during the day killed five people.
