‼️ U.S., FRANCE, AND REGIONAL ACTORS POSITION FOR POSSIBLE IRAN ESCALATION AS ISRAEL-LEBANON CEASEFIRE EXTENDED AMID HEZBOLLAH ATTACKS
‼️ Since this morning, dozens of U.S. Air Force aircraft have been departing the Middle East. Over the past several hours, 11 U.S. C-17 transport aircraft were seen leaving the region and heading toward Europe.
The movement is not currently being viewed as a U.S. withdrawal. Similar repositioning activity reportedly took place before President Trump authorized strikes on Iran in February.
⚠️ Prime Minister Netanyahu will hold a limited security discussion tonight amid increasing alertness within the defense establishment and preparations for the possibility of renewed fighting against Iran.
Senior ministers and heads of the defense establishment are expected to participate in the discussion.
⚓ France announced that the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle is operating in the Arabian Sea on what the French Defense Ministry described as a possible mission to restore navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
🚪 Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Tehran yesterday on an unannounced visit for meetings with senior Iranian officials, including Iran’s interior minister.
🔸 Iranian media outlets and Fars News Agency published what they described as five U.S. conditions for a possible agreement with Iran:
1. The United States will not pay compensation for damages to Iran
2. Iran must transfer enriched uranium to the United States
3. Only one Iranian nuclear facility will remain operational
4. Less than 25% of Iran’s frozen assets will be released
5. A ceasefire on all fronts would be conditioned on continued negotiations
According to the same reports, Iran presented five “confidence conditions” of its own for negotiations:
1. Ending the war on all fronts
2. Lifting sanctions
3. Releasing frozen Iranian funds
4. Compensation for war damages
5. Recognition of Iran’s sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz
🔸 A Lebanese official source told LBCI that efforts are underway to achieve a comprehensive ceasefire with Israel, adding: “We hope all parties will commit to it.”
The U.S. State Department later confirmed that the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon has been extended by an additional 45 days to allow further progress in talks.
❌ In contrast, overnight, Hezbollah launched rockets and explosive drones toward IDF soldiers operating in southern Lebanon. The projectiles fell near the troops. No injuries were reported.
🎯 The Israeli Air Force also intercepted several rockets launched toward IDF forces in southern Lebanon overnight. No sirens were activated in accordance with protocol.
❗️ Early this morning, sirens warning of a hostile aircraft infiltration were activated in the area of Misgav Am after a suspicious aerial target was identified near IDF positions in southern Lebanon. No injuries were reported.
❗️ Later in the morning, additional hostile aircraft infiltration sirens were activated in the areas of Manara and Margaliot. A suspicious aerial target was identified, and the incident later concluded without injuries.
🛡️ IDF Spokesperson: Earlier today, an IDF unmanned aerial vehicle carried out an emergency landing in the Samaria area following a technical malfunction.
IDF forces located the aircraft and are operating at the scene. There were no injuries, and there is no concern of information leakage.
