🛡️ U.S. AND ISRAEL ACCELERATE MILITARY PREPARATIONS AND HOME FRONT READINESS AS IRAN WAR SCENARIO EMERGES AMID STALLED NUCLEAR TALKS
🛡️ Israel’s home front readiness focus amid Iran concerns: Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee chairman Bismuth spoke after a briefing by the Home Front Command chief: "We are in challenging times. There isn’t a citizen in Israel who doesn’t ask themselves several times a day when a confrontation with Iran will occur. The public is preparing. The authorities are preparing. And we in the Knesset are also making sure that the home front is ready for any scenario. Wars are won on the home front too, not only on the front line."
⚠️ U.S. military preparations reported alongside stalled Geneva talks: The War Zone reports the U.S. is completing major military preparations in the Middle East, including deployment of E-3 Sentry (AWACS) aircraft and other advanced capabilities to regional bases to support potential large-scale aerial operations.
The preparations coincide with Geneva talks involving Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi and Trump envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. The negotiations are described as stalled, with Iran demanding total removal of sanctions and U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance warning that "everything is on the table," including a direct kinetic strike to halt Iran’s nuclear program and state-sponsored terrorism.
‼️ Iran warning and assessments of potential regional escalation: Iran has signaled that any American or Israeli attack would be met with "all-out war," including retaliatory strikes against U.S. assets across the Middle East and directly against Israel. Military officials warn that while opening stages of a conflict are being planned, the scale of any resulting regional escalation remains unpredictable.
♟️ Axios on war scenario discussed if talks fail: Axios reports the United States is moving closer to a major war with Iran if nuclear talks fail. Officials cited in the report say this would not be a limited strike but a weeks-long war, possibly carried out jointly with Israel.
The report also cites Israeli sources saying Israel is preparing for the possibility of war within days, while American sources estimate the decision may take weeks and say patience at the White House is "running out".
✈️ Reported airpower support movements: tankers, bombers, fighters: Reports say 26 U.S. aerial refuelers are moving toward Europe and the Middle East, departing from across the mainland United States, with capacity to refuel hundreds of jets. Additional reporting says two dozen USAF KC-135 and KC-46 tankers are being deployed to the Middle East to support aircraft at U.S. bases in the region.
Two B-52s were detected earlier on 11384 KHz (Tokyo). Four B-52s are currently deployed at Guam, and it is unconfirmed whether an additional bomber arrived or a current one redeployed elsewhere.
A second batch of six F-22s departed from the mainland U.S. toward Europe, but the six aircraft originally intended for the UK’s RAF Lakenheath are returning to Langley AFB after a tanker issue prevented the Atlantic transit.
🇮🇱 Israel Hayom: F-35I range extended; explosion reported near Shiraz: Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Yechiel Leiter told Israel Hayom: "Israel has extended the range of its F-35I Adir fighter jets so they can reach Iran and has added additional armaments without compromising their stealth capabilities".
💥 There are also reports of an explosion in a mountainous area near the city of Shiraz in southern Iran.
