๐ก๏ธ UN CALLS FOR HORMUZ REOPENING, KAZAKHSTAN TO JOIN ABRAHAM ACCORDS, SUPREME COURT SETS OCTOBER 7 PROBE DEADLINE
๐บ๐ณ UN SECURITY COUNCIL ON STRAIT OF HORMUZ: The United Nations Security Council called for the immediate and unrestricted reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
The statement said: โClosing the Strait of Hormuz and continuing attacks in it constitute a threat to international security. The Strait of Hormuz must be reopened, and freedom of navigation there must not be threatened.โ
The council also condemned attacks by the Islamic Republic of Iran against neighboring countries in the region.
๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ค๐ฐ๐ฟ KAZAKHSTAN TO JOIN ABRAHAM ACCORDS: President Isaac Herzog arrived in Kazakhstan and met with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
During the meeting, Tokayev announced that Kazakhstan has decided to join the Abraham Accords.
โ๏ธ SUPREME COURT SETS OCTOBER 7 PROBE DEADLINE: Supreme Court justices gave the government approximately two months to present a plan for investigating the events of October 7.
By that time, the country is expected to be only weeks away from a transitional government, during which decisions cannot be made.
๐พ UKRAINE WARNS ISRAEL OVER GRAIN SHIP DISPUTE: Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha criticized Israelโs response to Ukraineโs request regarding a previous vessel that allegedly delivered stolen goods to Haifa.
He stated: "It is difficult to understand Israel's lack of appropriate response to Ukraine's legitimate request regarding the previous vessel that delivered stolen goods to Haifa. Now that another such vessel has arrived in Haifa, we once again warn Israel against accepting the stolen grain and harming our relations. We have already officially summoned the Israeli ambassador to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry tomorrow morning to present our protest note and request appropriate action".
