🔸 TRUMP–NETANYAHU MEETING FOCUSES ON IRAN: President Trump is hosting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House to discuss Iran, regional security and the next steps following the recent U.S. bombing campaign.
Trump said Iran must formally agree not to pursue nuclear weapons. He warned that the United States would maintain a powerful blockade after accusing Tehran of violating a proposed deal.
Netanyahu is also in Washington to attend the memorial service for the late Sen. Lindsey Graham. Tensions remain high after Israel intercepted a drone it says was launched by an Iran-backed militia.
Unusually, the meeting did not take place one-on-one at any point, despite originally being planned in that format.
⚠️ TENSIONS CENTERED ON TIMING OVER IRAN, NOT THE OBJECTIVE: According to sources familiar with the preparations, there was considerable tension inside Netanyahu’s circle ahead of the meeting. Jerusalem and Washington remain closely aligned on many major issues, but the United States believes Israel is moving faster on Iran than Washington would prefer.
Regarding Trump’s remarks about the “Mountain Pickaxe” site, an Israeli source confirmed: “Trump is right.”
The source said Netanyahu had no new intelligence to present. Washington is already fully familiar with both the intelligence and the operational picture.
Trump said: “We have the greatest cameras in the world focused on [it]... I know exactly what's going on at Pickaxe, it's not a big problem. We took out their nuclear sites, and we'll have to take out Pickaxe if we don't make a deal. If we don't make a deal, we'll take it out very easily.”
🛰️ IRANIAN THREAT AGAINST ISRAELI LEADERSHIP: Defense Minister Israel Katz said: “The Shin Bet protects against the very serious Iranian threat directed at Netanyahu and Israel's political and military leadership”.
📍 ISRAEL WARNS TURKEY AGAINST ENTRENCHMENT IN SYRIA: Energy Minister Eli Cohen said: “We will not accept Turkey's entrenchment in Syria. If Turkey establishes bases in Syria, we will also act to establish bases within Syria itself”.
⚓ OMAN ADVANCES HORMUZ FEE PLAN AS IRAN THREATENS SHIPPING: Oman has won backing from Gulf states for a plan that would allow Tehran to collect voluntary fees from ships using the Strait of Hormuz, according to Reuters.
Iran’s General Staff, the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, warned: “Trump announced that the ships damaged during the war on Iran will be compensated through frozen Iranian assets. We warn the President that all companies and countries that welcome this proposal and use the frozen Iranian assets under this pretext should know that, from now on, the IRGC will not allow any of their ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz”.
🎯 OCTOBER 7 ABDUCTION COMMANDER ELIMINATED: The IDF eliminated Muhammad Khalil Muhammad Aslam, a Nukhba platoon commander in the PIJ terrorist organization, in a precise aerial strike in the Khan Yunis area yesterday.
During the October 7 Massacre, Aslam commanded a terrorist cell that participated in the abduction of Israeli civilians. In recent months, he advanced attacks targeting IDF troops and Israeli civilians.
The IDF said Aslam posed an immediate threat.
