⚠️ TRUMP THREATENS IRAN AS U.S., CHINA, AND GULF STATES COORDINATE ON HORMUZ AND REGIONAL SECURITY
🇺🇸 President Trump Escalates Pressure on Iran: President Trump issued a series of statements describing recent U.S. actions against Iran as a major military success while warning Tehran that additional action remains possible. He stated that Iran could either reach an agreement or face destruction, adding that he would “not be patient much longer.”
Trump also warned that Iran’s recent recovery efforts could be reversed rapidly, saying gains made over the past four weeks “will be gone in one day.”
🚨 Trump Signals Openness to Renewed Military Action: Trump later stated that further “cleanup work” against Iran could become necessary following what he described as a temporary ceasefire. He said he personally opposed the ceasefire but accepted it “for Pakistan’s sake.”
At the same time, Trump indicated openness to a long-term suspension of Iran’s nuclear program if credible guarantees were provided.
🤝 U.S.-China Discussions Focus on Hormuz: Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping discussed Iran and the Strait of Hormuz during meetings in Beijing. Trump stated that both sides support reopening the waterway and thanked Chinese representatives for their cooperation.
Separately, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun also held talks on the sidelines of the summit.
🌍 Washington Pushes International Alignment Against Iranian Actions: Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Washington and Beijing are aligned against Iranian militarization of the Strait of Hormuz and against Iranian tolls in the strategic waterway. Rubio said the United States is pursuing a UN resolution and hopes China will support it.
Rubio also stated that no country supports Iran obtaining nuclear weapons and warned Tehran against attempting to exploit U.S. domestic political divisions during negotiations.
🏛️ Congress Rejects Limits on Iran Operations: The U.S. House of Representatives rejected a War Powers Act proposal intended to block continued military operations against Iran without congressional approval. The Senate rejected similar legislation the previous night.
The votes preserved the administration’s operational flexibility regarding Iran-related military activity.
🇩🇪 Germany Coordinates Messaging With Washington: German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated that he spoke with Trump following the president’s return from China. According to Merz, both leaders agreed that Iran must return to negotiations, reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and never obtain nuclear weapons.
The discussions also included Ukraine and coordination ahead of the NATO summit in Ankara.
🔱 CENTCOM Expands Maritime Enforcement Activity: U.S. Central Command announced that 75 commercial vessels have been redirected and four disabled as part of maritime enforcement operations connected to the Strait of Hormuz situation.
The measures reflect continued international efforts to maintain shipping access and pressure Iranian activity around the waterway.
❗️ Iran Increases Public Pressure on Gulf States: Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei posted an Arabic-language message on X stating: “He who betrays in secret shall be exposed in public,” in an apparent warning directed toward the UAE.
The statement came amid growing regional tensions surrounding wartime coordination and Gulf security alignments.
🛡️ Iran Balances Diplomatic Messaging With Deterrence: Araqchi stated that Iran remains prepared both for renewed fighting and for diplomatic engagement.
Separately, Iran International reported that the Iranian parliament is reviewing legislation offering €50 million to anyone who kills President Trump.
