‼️ TRUMP SIGNALS POSSIBLE IRAN DEAL AS IDF WARNS OF READINESS TO RESUME INTENSIVE COMBAT AGAINST IRAN AND HEZBOLLAH
🔸 Disputes remain in U.S.-Iran talks despite today’s discussions. Iranian Tasnim News Agency reported that disagreements over releasing Iran’s frozen assets remain unresolved, and the agreement could still collapse. A senior U.S. official told Axios: “We are in a very good place — but there are ways in which the deal can be undermined.” A senior European official told Israeli media: “The U.S. and Iran agree in principle on a deal, but then end up disagreeing on every single clause.”
🔸 Israeli officials accused U.S. special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner of persuading President Trump to pursue a deal with Iran instead of immediately approving further military action, according to Israeli i24 News. The report said the discussion took place shortly before Trump was expected to give final approval for an attack.
🔸 President Trump defended the negotiations and contrasted them with the Obama-era nuclear agreement. Trump stated: “If I make a deal with Iran, it will be a good and proper one, not like the one made by Obama, which gave Iran massive amounts of CASH, and a clear and open path to a Nuclear Weapon. Our deal is the exact opposite, but nobody has seen it, or knows what it is. It isn’t even fully negotiated yet. So don’t listen to the losers, who are critical about something they know nothing about. Unlike those before me who should have solved this problem many years ago, I don’t make bad deals!”
‼️ IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir approved operational plans for continued fighting in the north and warned that Israel remains prepared to immediately resume intensive combat against Iran and Hezbollah. Zamir conducted a situational assessment in Northern Command with the General Staff Forum and later visited the 401st Brigade headquarters.
Zamir stated: “We are prepared to return to intense combat immediately and to further weaken the Iranian terror regime and its capabilities. We will maintain readiness and flexibility for action as long as required.” He added that Northern Command continues striking Hezbollah “across all dimensions,” while prioritizing the security of northern residents and IDF troops.
The Chief of Staff said Hezbollah remains under systematic pressure, describing the organization as “a battered and beaten enemy fighting for its survival.” He said operations continue to eliminate Hezbollah operatives and dismantle terrorist infrastructure threatening civilians and forces along the northern border.
Zamir also praised commanders leading from the front, referencing the late former 401st Brigade commander Col. Ahsan Daqsa, of blessed memory, and current brigade commander Col. Meir Biderman, who was seriously wounded last week while leading forces in southern Lebanon. Zamir wished Biderman a full recovery and return to duty, describing the 401st Brigade as “a brigade of strong people with tremendous spirit that has never been broken.”
🗣️ Hezbollah Secretary General Naim Qassem rejected Lebanese government moves against Hezbollah’s armed presence and warned against disarmament efforts. Qassem stated: “I call on the Lebanese government to retract the decisions it has taken to criminalize resistance. Disarmament is genocide and we will not accept it.”
🛡️ Multiple hostile aircraft infiltration sirens were activated across northern Israel, including in Qiryat Shemona, Yiftah, Adamit, and Shlomi. The IDF said interceptors were launched toward several suspicious aerial targets, but contact was lost. Other alerts were later determined to involve false identifications or false targets. No injuries were reported.
