‼️ TRUMP SIGNALS FURTHER ACTION AGAINST IRAN AS U.S. CONGRESS REJECTS WAR POWERS LIMITS
⚠️ President Trump published a lengthy statement praising Chinese: President Xi Jinping while sharply criticizing the Biden administration and highlighting what he described as a major U.S. recovery under his leadership.
Trump claimed the United States has achieved “military decimation of Iran (to be continued!),” alongside economic growth, record investment, and military strength. He stated: “Iran can make a deal - or be destroyed. I won’t be patient much longer.”
Trump also warned that Iran’s recent military recovery efforts could be rapidly reversed.
“I hope Iran is watching. We know exactly what they put up. You know, they had a little respite, and so they’re trying to get a few things together. They’ve taken some missiles from underground. It will all be gone in one day. Everything they’ve done for the last four weeks will be gone in one day.”
🤝 President Trump and President Xi Jinping discussed Iran and the Strait of Hormuz during meetings at the Zhongnanhai compound in Beijing.
Trump stated: “We did discuss Iran. We feel very similar. We want the straits open. We’re closing it now. They closed it, and we closed it on top of them—but we want the straits open.”
Trump added: “I just want to thank President Xi and all of his representatives—we’ve become friendly with all of them. Great people.”
⚠️ Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that the United States and China are aligned against militarization of the Strait of Hormuz and against Iranian tolls in the waterway.
Rubio stated: “It’s good we have alliance or agreement on that point. Now, what are we gonna do about it? We have a resolution at the UN...we are pushing very hard on it. We hope the Chinese will vote for it.”
Rubio also stated: “I don’t know that there is a country on the planet that is in favor of Iran having a nuclear weapon. I think the difference is we actually are trying to do something about it.”
Regarding negotiations with Tehran, Rubio said: “What the president is making clear is if the Iranians think that they are going to use our domestic politics to pressure him into a bad deal, that’s not going to happen.”
🏛️ The U.S. House of Representatives rejected a War Powers Act proposal intended to prevent President Trump from continuing military operations against Iran without congressional approval.
The Senate also rejected a similar proposal the previous night.
❗️Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei posted in Arabic on X: “He who betrays in secret shall be exposed in public,” in an apparent message directed at the UAE.
