⚠️ President Trump says Chinese leader Xi Jinping offered to help regarding Iran and pledged not to transfer military equipment to Tehran. Trump told Fox that President Xi wants to see a deal reached and supports keeping the Strait of Hormuz open. Trump said quoting Xi: “If I can be of any help at all, I would like to be of help.”
Trump linked China’s position to its dependence on Gulf energy flows.
He said: “Anybody that buys that much oil obviously has some kind of relationship, and he’d like to see the Hormuz Strait open.”
🛩️ President Trump also announced that China agreed to purchase 200 Boeing aircraft. No additional details were provided regarding the agreement.
❌ CENTCOM Commander Adm. Brad Cooper said U.S. Central Command achieved its military objectives against Iran in less than 40 days. Cooper said 90% of Iran’s defense industrial base was destroyed and that Iran would not be able to rebuild those weapons capabilities for years.
Adm. Cooper said Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis are now cut off from Iranian assistance. According to an official U.S. Army announcement, the groups have been cut off from Iranian weapons supply and support following “months of careful planning.”
⚠️ Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said the Strait of Hormuz remains open for countries that are “not enemies.”: Araqchi stated: “The Strait of Hormuz is open for anyone that isn’t an enemy. You just need to pay the tolls.”
🔸 Saudi Arabia is reportedly discussing a regional non-aggression framework involving Iran following the war. According to the Financial Times, the proposal is part of broader discussions with regional and international partners aimed at establishing a new Middle East security framework.
❗️ BBC Verify reported that Iranian forces seized the Honduras-flagged vessel Hui Chuan, described as a floating armoury used by maritime security firms. BBC Verify said it could not independently confirm what was aboard the vessel or who the weapons were intended for.
❌ Arab-Israeli suspect accused of assisting Iran targeting Israeli sites: An Arab man from Tira was arrested on suspicion of sending Iran locations and photographs of Israeli security sites.
Prosecutors described the case as “a real blow to the security of the state.”
According to the indictment, the suspect allegedly acted on behalf of Iran out of hatred for Israel and refused payment. He reportedly showed an Iranian handler via video calls where missiles should be fired and demanded “results on the spot.”
The indictment states he sent locations and documentation of sensitive sites, including the Ashdod port and power station, an Israel Aerospace Industries building, a police station, city hall, and an IDF base.
