🇺🇸 Statements From U.S. Officials: Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Trump would meet Iran’s leader if requested.

Two U.S. officials told Reuters: "The US military is preparing for the possibility of conducting continuous operations against Iran for weeks, if necessary". A U.S. official told Reuters the U.S. military may also attack Iranian state and security targets, not only nuclear facilities. "The U.S. expects an Iranian response in such a case, which could lead to a prolonged exchange of strikes and mutual attacks," the official added.
U.S. officials told the New York Times that more than 12 additional F-15 fighter jets have been sent to the Middle East. They said B-2 bombers and other long-range strike aircraft capable of hitting Iran remain on alert.
U.S. officials told the New York Times that Trump has not yet made a decision regarding launching a strike against Iran.
They said his options include targeting Iran’s nuclear program, its ballistic missile capabilities, and deploying commando forces to target specific Iranian military sites.
