Trump added: "If they did not agree to this, there would be no further negotiations!"
He said that based on the inspections agreement and "other major concessions being made by Iran," he agreed to allow the Strait of Hormuz to remain open with no further naval blockade.
Trump said all ships are remaining in place in case the blockade needs to be reinstated, though he described that as "highly unlikely."
He also stated that money and sanctions relief being released by the U.S. Treasury would go into escrow, controlled by the United States, and be used exclusively to purchase food and medical supplies from the United States, including corn, wheat, and soybeans from American farmers.
Trump described the situation as a humanitarian crisis and said, "Talks are going well!"
In a separate statement, Trump added: "19 Millions Barrels of Oil flowed out of the Hormuz Strait yesterday, an all time RECORD. Oil prices are tumbling down, and the World is a much safer place!!!"
At the same time, Iranian leaders are reportedly pushing back against demands for International Atomic Energy Agency inspections after Vice President Vance said Iran had agreed to permit inspectors into the country.
Trump warned there would be no negotiations without international oversight, said Iran must continue honoring the agreement, and vowed to "do what needs to be done" if Tehran backs away from its commitments.
The Strait of Hormuz is fully open again, oil shipments are increasing, and Trump is reiterating his longstanding position that Iran will never be permitted to obtain a nuclear weapon.

Public reports say investigators are examining a manifesto linked to incel ideology, with themes reportedly including anti-women, anti-capitalist and anti-pornography views.
TVA reported that police are considering whether Pornhub/Aylo, whose offices are in the area, may have been connected to the intended target.
