Acting under seizure orders issued by Defense Minister Israel Katz, authorities confiscated five vehicles, approximately NIS 96,000 in cash, gold jewelry and additional property worth hundreds of thousands of shekels.
Those targeted included Muhammad Abd al-Rahman Abbad, involved in an attempted suicide bombing in Jerusalem in 2002, and Hamas operative Ahed Faiz Ali al-Natsheh, who was involved in planning a 2001 car bombing in Pisgat Ze’ev and the bombing at Jerusalem’s Clal Center, which wounded two police officers and ten civilians. The Defense Ministry said the sanctions followed recommendations from its counter-terror financing bureau and coordination with the Shin Bet and Israel Police as part of a broader campaign against terrorist organizations, their funding sources and payment mechanisms.
