❌ SECURITY FORCES INTERVENE IN VIOLENT QUSRA AND JALUD INCIDENTS: IDF soldiers and Israel Border Police forces were dispatched to Qusra following reports that Israeli rioters had arrived in the area and violent clashes had broken out, including stone-hurling toward residence and other civilians.
Upon arriving, security forces identified dozens of rioters barricaded inside a Palestinian home while Palestinian residents were still inside. Forces initially operated to remove the rioters and separate the groups in order to protect the residents of the home.
The IDF said it was aware of reports of Palestinian injuries, including a Palestinian woman who sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was evacuated by the Red Crescent for medical treatment.
Security forces also confiscated vehicles belonging to Israeli rioters suspected of having been used to reach the area. The vehicles and additional evidence collected at the scene were transferred to the Judea and Samaria District of the Israel Police as part of an investigation that has been opened.
IDF and Border Police forces continued operating in Qusra and Jalud to prevent further disturbances and restore order. The security forces strongly condemned all forms of violence.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said: “I strongly condemn the criminal acts of violence committed in the villages of Qusra and Jalud by a handful of rioters who are breaking the law, causing enormous harm to the law-abiding settler community, hindering the IDF in carrying out its missions, and damaging Israel’s standing in the world. The security forces acted swiftly, confiscated three vehicles, and brought the incident to an end within a short time. The IDF, Shin Bet, and police are conducting an intensive investigation on the ground, and I expect law enforcement authorities to arrest the rioters and bring them to justice as soon as possible.”
