⚠️ GOVERNMENTS ISSUE REGIONAL WARNINGS: The United States has issued a travel warning covering the entire Middle East. Australia, New Zealand, India and Britain are calling on their citizens to leave the region immediately.
U.S. air bases in Bahrain were reported evacuated. U.S. embassies in Israel, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Jordan, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman also issued new security alerts, urging American citizens to exercise heightened caution and consider departing the region.
The U.S. Embassy in Amman stated: “Americans currently in the Middle East should exercise caution and heightened vigilance and should be prepared for flight cancellations, periodic airspace closures, and potential travel disruptions. Americans in the region should consider departing, or be prepared to depart should there be escalation”.
Walla described the embassy’s statement as “another sign of an imminent escalation in the Middle East”.
A senior American official said Gulf countries, including Qatar, are pressuring Washington to prevent further escalation because they fear their oil facilities could become Iranian targets. The Gulf states, led by Qatar, are working to prevent a renewed U.S. war with Iran.
🛰️ IRAN REPORTEDLY COORDINATES WITH REGIONAL PROXIES: A U.S. official said Iran has been “very aggressive” in recent days, surprising some American officials with its willingness to escalate, according to Axios.
Iran used the brief ceasefire to coordinate with proxy groups, including Hezbollah, the Houthis and Iraqi militias, on a plan to intensify attacks if the United States resumed military strikes, according to The New York Times.
The strategy is intended to raise the costs of war for President Trump by targeting U.S. allies, disrupting oil supplies and shipping, and increasing regional instability. Recent attacks on Saudi energy infrastructure, shipping near the Suez Canal and areas hosting U.S. forces are viewed as part of this coordinated campaign.
🚧 U.S. AND ISRAEL CONSIDER LAND BLOCKADE: The United States and Israel are considering a land blockade of Iran to increase economic pressure after months of military action failed to bring Tehran back to the negotiating table, according to The Telegraph.
The proposal would seek to persuade Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Pakistan, Turkey and Turkmenistan to restrict or close their border crossings with Iran, limiting Iranian imports and exports.
The plan was discussed alongside other options, including maintaining the naval blockade, resuming military strikes or pursuing a diplomatic agreement.
Supporters argue that greater economic isolation could further weaken the Iranian government. Analysts note, however, that enforcing a land blockade would be extremely difficult because of Iran’s long land borders and extensive regional connections.
