❗️ FIRST ARREST OVER QUSRA ATTACK: A 19-year-old Israeli from a settlement in northern Judea and Samaria was arrested on suspicion of participating in Saturday’s violent attack on the Palestinian village of Qusra. The arrest followed a joint Israel Police and Shin Bet investigation. He was taken for further questioning and is expected to be brought before a court for a hearing to extend his remand.
The suspect is the first person arrested in connection with the attack, during which dozens of Israeli settlers entered the village, took over a home while a family remained inside and attacked residents, including by throwing stones at Palestinians and others.
🛰️ FOREIGN-INFLUENCE CASE: The State Attorney’s Office filed an indictment against an Israeli civilian for security offenses connected to a foreign-influence operation. Authorities said the suspect had been arrested and questioned by the Shin Bet and police.
“During his interrogation, it emerged that the [suspect] had been operated by foreign intelligence elements and had been involved in foreign influence activity,” the State Attorney’s Office said.
“Upon completion of his interrogation, an indictment and a request for detention until the end of [legal] proceedings were filed against him for security offenses attributed to him in light of his being operated by foreign intelligence elements against the State of Israel,” it added.
The State Attorney’s Office said the investigation found that the individual had been handled by foreign intelligence operatives and involved in foreign influence activities. All other details remain prohibited from publication.

🇮🇱 ZAMIR: IDF SECURITY DOCTRINE HAS FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGED: IDF Chief of Staff LTG Eyal Zamir said Israel has fundamentally changed its security doctrine during more than 1,000 days of what he described as an unprecedented, prolonged campaign across multiple fronts. “There is no ignoring and no containment; there is the removal of threats before they materialize,” Zamir said, adding that the IDF has severely damaged enemy capabilities and demonstrated its ability to strike threats wherever necessary.
Speaking at a State Employees’ Union recognition event for IDF troops and security forces, Zamir said the campaign began with “the failure of October 7th,” but Israel has since removed “real existential threats that had been built up against us for years.” He stressed that the IDF remains engaged in continuous learning, drawing lessons and implementing them.
Zamir also called for expanding the IDF, broadening the pool of those serving and providing the manpower and advanced capabilities needed for its growing missions. At the same time, he said the military’s “highest obligation” is caring for mandatory-service troops, career personnel, reservists and IDF employees, whom he described as “the foundation of our strength and the secret to our power.”
Accepting an award on behalf of IDF troops, Zamir said the recognition belonged not to him but to “hundreds of thousands of troops and officers” carrying Israel’s security, as well as reservists, their families, and the fallen and wounded. He cited Maj. Shilo Har-Even, a Golani company commander who continued fighting after being wounded at the Nahal Oz outpost until he was killed, as representative of what Zamir called “a generation of courageous and fearless troops.”
“The IDF is the people’s army, and those in the civil service are servants of the people,” Zamir concluded, describing the partnership between the military and public service as part of their shared responsibility to the country.
