⚠️ PMO says Channel 12 report endangered delegation: The Prime Minister’s Office said the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) filed a complaint this evening with the Chief Military Censor, demanding that Channel 12 be held accountable for a serious censorship violation over its reporting of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to the UAE.
According to the Shin Bet, the timing of the publication endangered Netanyahu, the operation and forces in the field. The agency said it also exposed operational methods, potentially increasing risks to future operations.
The Shin Bet said the report endangered the lives of Netanyahu and his wife, along with members of the accompanying delegation, which included Mossad chief Roman Gofman, the head of the National Security Council, Maj. Gen. Gadi Eisenkot, the military secretary, the head of the Shin Bet’s security division, the aircrew and the security team.
The complaint specifically cited publication of the flight at 9:38 p.m., when the aircraft was still far from Israeli territory. The plane landed in Israel at approximately 10:27 p.m., roughly an hour later. The Mossad said the leak “constituted a serious security threat to the safety of the PM and the delegation”.
🔸 UAE meeting confirmed; PMO denies warning-related request: The UAE said President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received Netanyahu on Sunday, September 27, with discussions covering “bilateral ties and ways to strengthen them”. This was the first time a meeting of this kind had been announced in the UAE’s history.
The Prime Minister’s Office said Netanyahu and his wife visited at the UAE president’s invitation, with the visit focused on strengthening bilateral relations and addressing regional challenges. The head of the National Security Council, Mossad director, military secretary and foreign policy adviser also participated.
The PMO denied a report that Netanyahu asked the UAE president to deny having warned him before October 7: “This is fake news. The visit dealt exclusively with strengthening relations between the two countries and regional challenges.”
🛡️ Two suspects neutralized in southern Lebanon: Earlier today, IDF soldiers operating in southern Lebanon identified two suspects who entered the Security Zone and approached them. The soldiers opened fire toward the suspects, who were neutralized. No IDF injuries were reported, and the incident is under review.
🔹 UTJ ties government support to Torah students’ status: Responding to a report, United Torah Judaism chairman MK Yaakov Asher said: “United Torah Judaism has no desire to bring down or crown anyone, and we do not act out of revenge or other interests. The only thing guiding us is the directive of the leading Torah sages, according to which United Torah Judaism, in all its factions, will neither support nor join any government unless the status of Torah students is formally settled.”
