🇮🇱 NETANYAHU DEFINES ISRAEL’S RED LINES: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu used Sunday’s cabinet meeting to reject reports of broad Israeli concessions across multiple fronts. On Iran, he said Tehran has refrained from attacking Israel in recent weeks because it understands the potential Israeli response, adding: “With an agreement or without an agreement, as long as I am Prime Minister, Iran will not have nuclear weapons.”
🌐 On Gaza, Netanyahu rejected the U.S.-backed 15-point document currently under discussion and said the IDF would not withdraw until Hamas is genuinely disarmed. He specified that this includes heavy, medium and light weapons, insisting on “real disarmament, not fake disarmament.” Discussions with Washington are continuing, with some U.S. proposals acceptable to Israel and others not.
🏛️ Netanyahu also said no Palestinian state would be established in Gaza or Judea and Samaria while he remains prime minister, describing his position as “Neither Fatahstan nor Hamastan.” On Lebanon, he said Israel has recently eliminated terrorists and removed threats and is conducting “a very important operation” on which he could not elaborate.
🛡️ DEFENSE FUNDING AND IRAN STRIKE OPTIONS: The government is set to approve NIS 1 billion for urgent defense procurement, with most of the funding redirected from technology-sector investment allocations. Channel 13 reported that the IDF is preparing for the possibility of renewed independent strikes against Iran without U.S. approval or support if the U.S.-Iran war ends.
✈️ The report followed CNN reporting that U.S. Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Dan Caine warned senior Trump administration officials that further military escalation could backfire and that airstrikes alone were unlikely to produce victory. Iran’s president separately threatened to resign if no agreement is reached, citing the country’s severe economic situation.
⚔️ HEZBOLLAH DRONE STRIKES NEAR IDF FORCES: An explosive-laden Hezbollah drone struck near Israeli forces in the Ali Taher Ridge area of southern Lebanon on Friday without causing injuries or damage. The incident was not initially announced by the IDF and was first reported by Ynet later that day.
📡 The IDF said public disclosures are determined by operational considerations and situational assessments, adding that information will not be released when publication could endanger forces in combat zones. Separately, an IDF soldier was moderately wounded in an operational accident in southern Lebanon and evacuated to hospital.
🚨 OFARIM ALERT ENDS WITHOUT SECURITY INCIDENT: A suspected infiltration alert was triggered after a suspicious vehicle being pursued by security forces entered Ofarim. After the suspect exited the vehicle, security personnel carried out an apprehension procedure that included fire toward him. He was arrested and transferred to Israel Police. Authorities subsequently determined there was no security incident.
📷 A3 SPEED CAMERA ENFORCEMENT TIGHTENS: Israel Police is recalibrating its orange A3 speed cameras based on road conditions, traffic volume, accident and casualty data, and assessed risk. No single nationwide threshold has been announced, but Calcalist reported that some cameras could begin enforcing speeds only several kilometers per hour above the posted limit, potentially around 6–8 km/h over depending on the location.
🚗 Since the beginning of 2026, A3 cameras have generated more than 276,000 tickets, and traffic-law professionals estimate tighter thresholds could produce hundreds of thousands more. The reported 5 km/h deduction from recorded speed for measurement tolerance remains in place. The change comes alongside expanded use of digital traffic tribunals for certain violations, including some speeding cases.
