๐ฎ๐ฑ NETANYAHU ON IRAN, SYRIA'S ROLE IN LEBANON, AND REPORTED IRANIAN KIDNAP PLOT
๐ฎ๐ฑ NETANYAHU ON IRAN, TRUMP, AND ISRAELI INDEPENDENCE: Netanyahu said: "I think we created the conditions for the Iranian regime's fall."
Netanyahu added: "For years, people told us, 'You cannot attack the soil of Iran'. Yes, you can do Mossad operations. We did quite a few. I authorized many. But you cannot send our military to Iran. We changed that. We sent our brave pilots over the skies of Iran."
Addressing claims regarding coordination with Washington, Netanyahu stated: "In the U.S., they say that Trump does everything that I ask him to do. And in Israel, they say I do everything he wants me to do. Neither is true. We are leaders of independent and proud countries. I stand for the interest of Israel."
He also said: "Our soldiers are so brave. There are no braver soldiers on the planet. They are so heroic."
๐ฐ๏ธ SYRIA DISCUSSES POSSIBLE ROLE IN LEBANON: President Trump told Fox News: "I am disappointed Israel cannot put Hezbollah away. They can't do anything without knocking buildings down. I am close to giving this to Syria because he would do a more precise job."
Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa said Trump's comments were being misinterpreted and did not mean Syrian forces would enter Lebanon.
Al-Sharaa stated that Trump was expressing frustration with the conflict and exploring whether Syria could play a constructive role through Lebanese state institutions. He also argued Hezbollah's intervention in Syria was a mistake, warned against Lebanon repeating Syria's experience of prolonged conflict, and said Hezbollah does not represent all Lebanese Shiites.
โ๏ธ SHIN BET LEAK INVESTIGATION ORDERED: Netanyahu instructed Shin Bet Chief David Zini to investigate how Channel 12 knew in advance when the war with Iran would begin. The probe is expected to focus on whether sensitive information was leaked before the conflict started.
โ๏ธ REPORT CLAIMS IRANIAN KIDNAP ATTEMPT TARGETED FORMER SHIN BET CHIEF: Channel 13 reported that former Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar and his wife, Dafna Bar-Aggasi, attended a high-level security conference in the UAE hosted by Emirati Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed.
The conference brought together senior security, intelligence, and government officials from multiple countries. According to the report, an unusual "security alert" was received during Bar's stay in the UAE, prompting an immediate evacuation of the couple back to Israel over concerns for their safety. Details remain classified, but reports claim that Iranian agents attempted to kidnap Ronen Bar.
