🛡️ NETANYAHU DETAILS LEBANON FRAMEWORK AS ISRAEL RETAINS SECURITY ZONE AND WARNS IRAN
🔸 Netanyahu outlines Lebanon agreement: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel will remain in the "yellow security zone" in southern Lebanon, calling it "a huge achievement" after pressure to force an Israeli withdrawal.
"I thank President Trump and Secretary of State Rubio for their involvement and their contribution."
Netanyahu revealed the two pilot zones from which the IDF will withdraw under the framework, while stressing that Israel will retain freedom of action.
"When it becomes necessary to enter Lebanon, we will enter and operate there with force."
📍 Netanyahu: Lebanon is signaling a break from Iran and Hezbollah: Netanyahu said the agreement marks a fundamental change in Lebanon’s position.
"By signing an agreement with us, the Lebanese government is effectively telling Iran and Hezbollah: 'Get out of Lebanon and leave it alone'."
He said Lebanon is telling Iran and Hezbollah, for the first time, that it wants peace with Israel.
Netanyahu praised what he described as Lebanon’s courageous move to assert sovereignty, disarm Hezbollah, and pursue peace despite Iranian influence.
"The Lebanese government still has more work to do, and it has already begun to act. That is no small thing."
He said Israel has heard support for the move among Lebanon’s Christian public, Druze public, Muslim public, and even among some Shiites.
⚠️ Netanyahu: Israel will test Lebanon in practice: Netanyahu said the Lebanese Armed Forces must undergo internal reforms, claiming there are "jihadists" inside the army.
"The Lebanese government knows it has to deal with this too. We will of course test this in practice."
🛡️ Netanyahu: Hezbollah was severely weakened: Netanyahu said Israel reached the framework because Hezbollah was hit hard and did not receive the help it expected from Iran.
"We struck Hezbollah hard."
He said Hezbollah had 150,000 missiles and rockets before the war, and that Israel eliminated about 90% of that stockpile. He also cited the pager operation, the elimination of Hassan Nasrallah, the killing of Radwan Force commanders, and the killing of more than 200 terrorists over the past two weeks.
"We are destroying their terrorist infrastructure. There are bunkers, there are tunnels, there are terror villages. We are destroying everything."
🇮🇱 Netanyahu: Israel seeks greater defense independence: Netanyahu said Israel wants to reduce dependence on others in its defense industries and become the first country to deliver effective countermeasures against explosive drones.
🔸 Netanyahu: Israel not bound by US-Iran understanding: Netanyahu said Israel was not a party to the recent US-Iran memorandum of understanding, but will assert its own security interests, particularly regarding Iran's nuclear program.
He announced that he will send a delegation to Washington to present Israel's position.
