🔸LEBANON DISPUTES AND U.S.-ISRAEL FRICTION
⚠️ TRUMP SIGNALS BROADER REGIONAL AMBITIONS: President Trump rejected reports of a $300 billion U.S. payment to Iran, saying: "There is no $300 billion payment to Iran by the U.S. That's fake news!"
Trump said Washington is committed to peace and expects "a complete ceasefire on all fronts, including Lebanon, Hezbollah, and Israel."
Asked how long the U.S. military would remain in the Gulf, Trump said: "We haven't thought about it. Probably for a while. It's a good place to stay."
Trump also said: "If other countries have ballistic missiles, it's a little bit unfair for Iran to not have some. A ballistic missile is not the same thing as a nuclear weapon."
On the broader region, Trump said: "It's my hope that the peace agreement will be the beginning of a much larger deal all across the Middle East."
Regarding Hamas, Trump said: "We're trying to get them unarmed." He added: "That's not the easiest thing, but they've actually behaved pretty well considering this was not the lifestyle that they were taught to have."
Trump also said of the region's history of conflict: "When they were born, they came out with a machine gun in their hands."
🔸 LEBANON EMERGES AS A MAJOR POINT OF FRICTION: Baghaei warned: "If the Israeli regime's attacks against Lebanon continue, this will constitute a violation of the other side's commitments under the memorandum of understanding."
He said Tehran does not separate the United States and Israel on implementation, adding that Washington must compel Israel to respect America's commitments to Iran under the agreement.
Reports claimed the Iranian delegation suspended its planned trip to Switzerland due to continued Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon. A source told Al Mayadeen: "The Iranian negotiating delegation suspends its trip to Switzerland due to the ongoing Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon."
A White House official responded: "Iran must restrain the activities of Hezbollah, and any attack by the group will be met with a direct Israeli response."
Prime Minister Netanyahu is reportedly seeking to influence the final U.S.-Iran agreement by mobilizing right-wing media figures and pro-Israel senators to pressure President Trump.
CNN reported that Netanyahu amplified criticism through figures such as Mark Levin and lobbied friendly senators, even as some former opponents of the deal, including Sen. Lindsey Graham, voiced support.
Netanyahu also told Trump that Israel does not consider itself bound by the agreement's provision requiring an immediate and permanent end to the war in Lebanon.
📍 ISRAEL SEEKS TO MAINTAIN SECURITY BUFFER IN SOUTHERN LEBANON: Israel is in talks with the United States to maintain its military presence in southern Lebanon.
Israel argues that it must retain a security buffer and is resisting calls to withdraw from areas south of the Litani River.
Israel also wants to accelerate contacts with Lebanon before Washington and Tehran finalize a comprehensive agreement. According to Israel Hayom, such an agreement would remove Iran's demand for an Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon from the negotiating table.
🚀 ROCKET FIRE TARGETS IDF FORCES IN SOUTHERN LEBANON: The Israeli Air Force intercepted several rockets launched toward IDF soldiers operating in southern Lebanon.
Several additional rockets fell adjacent to the soldiers.
No injuries were reported. No sirens were sounded in accordance with protocol.
