🛡️ ZAMIR ORDERS HEIGHTENED JUDEA AND SAMARIA READINESS, WARNS BUDGET SHORTFALL IS HARMING IDF PREPAREDNESS: IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir ordered increased readiness in Judea and Samaria amid recent tensions and the approaching Jewish holiday period, while stressing continued high alert from Iran and Lebanon to Gaza.
“Many challenges are ahead of us. We are advancing operational procedures across all fronts, from Iran to Lebanon to Gaza, and remain on high alert in accordance with the sensitive multi-front situation. Given the tensions in Judea and Samaria and the upcoming holiday period, I am ordering the elevation of readiness of an additional division headquarters in order to reinforce the forces in the area. In addition, preparations must be made for the immediate deployment of units and battalions to reinforce the area.”
Normally, two divisions operate in the area: the Judea and Samaria Division, responsible for most of the territory, and the 96th “Gilad” Division, tasked with the Jordan border.
Zamir added: “The IDF, across all of its arrays, will maintain full, multi-front readiness throughout the holiday period - there will be no reduction in operational forces.”
He also warned about the IDF’s financial situation: “Unfortunately, these days we are also facing a challenge regarding the IDF’s budget. In a time when the IDF and its personnel are operating on all fronts, we must deal with a lack of funds. Such a situation harms the IDF’s readiness.”
“We are defending the security of the State of Israel - this is the only consideration guiding us. We will not be drawn into issues that could divert our focus and undermine our readiness.”
⚔️ GOLANI DISMANTLES MORE THAN 400 TERROR INFRASTRUCTURE SITES IN SOUTHERN LEBANON: The Golani Brigade, operating under the 36th Division in the Security Zone in southern Lebanon, has dismantled more than 400 terror infrastructure sites over the past several weeks as part of operations to remove threats to Israeli civilians.
Troops also located numerous weapons, including anti-tank missiles, surface-to-air missiles, explosive devices, Kalashnikov rifles and mortars.
❌ ARMED WOMAN SUSPECTED OF PLANNING STABBING ATTACK APPREHENDED: IDF soldiers, acting on Shin Bet intelligence, apprehended a Palestinian woman earlier in the Ganot Junction area after receiving information that she intended to carry out a stabbing attack.
The IDF also described the location as a junction near Shavei Shomron. The woman was apprehended while armed with a knife and transferred to the security forces for further handling and questioning. No injuries were reported.
❌ DEMOLITION ORDER ISSUED FOR HOME OF TERRORIST WHO MURDERED YEHUDA SHERMAN: The commander of IDF Central Command signed a confiscation and demolition order for the home in which terrorist Duas Hasson lived in the village of Beit Imrin.
Hasson carried out the March 21, 2026 attack in which Yehuda Sherman was murdered and another civilian was wounded.
