🇮🇱 JERUSALEM IDF CAMPUS ADVANCES, REHABILITATION REFORM BEGINS, HEZBOLLAH ARMS SEIZED AND UK PLANS TRADE BAN

⚠️ UK WORKING ON COMPREHENSIVE BAN ON TRADE WITH ISRAELI SETTLEMENTS: UK Trade Minister Chris Bryant said Wednesday that the government is developing a plan to prohibit all imports, exports and service transactions involving what Britain considers illegal Israeli settlements, according to The Jerusalem Post.

Addressing Parliament’s Business and Trade Sub-Committee, Bryant said British businesses should not contribute to sustaining or expanding the settlements. He said the proposed restrictions would extend beyond physical goods to services including mortgages, financing, legal assistance and accountancy connected to settlement construction.

Bryant said the Department for Business and Trade and the Foreign Office have spent months developing an effective plan. He acknowledged enforcement challenges and possible tariff circumvention, adding that the government aims to use existing sanctions frameworks rather than pursue lengthy primary legislation.

🏗️ IDF MILITARY COLLEGES CAMPUS CONSTRUCTION BEGINS IN JERUSALEM: The Defense Ministry and IDF have begun implementing the Shoham 4 initiative to establish a new IDF Military Colleges campus in Jerusalem.

Work will include infrastructure development, site preparation and construction of facilities to train future IDF commanders. The project is being coordinated with the Jerusalem Municipality and Jerusalem Development Authority as part of a broader strategic plan to relocate major defense infrastructure to the capital and strengthen Jerusalem as a national, security and educational center.

Defense Minister Israel Katz said the move will connect future commanders with Zionism, heritage and responsibility for Israel’s defense. Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion said the campus will bring thousands of service members and career personnel to the city.

Defense Ministry Director-General Amir Baram said the project has moved “from vision to a defined work plan,” with construction proceeding according to schedule.

🏥 TEAM FOR WOUNDED SOLDIERS’ REHABILITATION REFORM ESTABLISHED: Baram ordered the formation of a professional team to rapidly implement the government’s adoption of the Mor-Yosef Committee recommendations.

Some elements of the rehabilitation reform will advance under the existing government decision in the near term, while additional measures will require future legislation.

Baram described the decision as more than a structural change, saying it places rehabilitation at the top of Israel’s national priorities. He pledged to ensure its full implementation for wounded security personnel, Rehabilitation Department employees and the resilience of Israeli society.

❌ SYRIA SEIZES ADVANCED WEAPONS REPORTEDLY DESTINED FOR HEZBOLLAH: Syrian forces intercepted advanced weapons and missiles being smuggled across the Syrian-Iraqi border.

Syrian state media, citing an Interior Ministry source, reported that the shipment was intended for Hezbollah in Lebanon.
