๐ก๏ธ ISRAEL REJECTS LINKAGE BETWEEN LEBANON POLICY AND THE AGREEMENT: Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that Israel will maintain security zones in southern Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza without a defined time limit regardless of reported provisions connected to Hezbollah or Lebanon.
Katz said Israel intends to continue dismantling terror infrastructure and remove structures used as operational outposts near the border. He described the security-zone policy as a major strategic achievement since October 7 and said the position has been conveyed directly to senior U.S. officials.
Katz warned that if Iran attacks Israel because of events in Lebanon, Israel will respond with full force and will not compromise on its security interests.
Prime Minister Netanyahu reinforced the same policy, stating that Israel will preserve freedom of military action in Lebanon and against Iran for as long as necessary. He emphasized that Israel remains committed to preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
Senior American officials said Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon is not a condition of the agreement and reiterated Israel's right to self-defense against Hezbollah attacks. President Trump said he hopes the situation in Lebanon can also be resolved.
๐ฑ๐ง LEBANON BECOMES A CENTRAL COMPONENT OF THE DISCUSSION: Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri welcomed reports that Lebanon was included in understandings between Washington and Tehran. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi discussed Lebanon-related aspects of the framework with Lebanese leaders.
Iranian officials described ending fighting in Lebanon as an integral component of the broader ceasefire structure and said Tehran intends to monitor implementation closely.
A Hezbollah official told Reuters that no operations have been conducted since announcement of the agreement and said future actions will depend on Israeli conduct. Hezbollah representatives also indicated that discussions concerning Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon are incorporated into the broader framework.
Operational reports from northern-border forces suggested a significant reduction in activity, including fewer offensive operations and the return of residents to some areas.
๐ฏ SECURITY INCIDENTS CONTINUE DESPITE REDUCED ACTIVITY: Lebanese media reported an Israeli drone strike against a vehicle in Kfar Tebnit that reportedly killed one person and injured others. Additional reports described artillery fire in the Kfar Tebnit and Nabatieh al-Fawqa areas. The IDF did not immediately comment.
Overnight, the Israeli Air Force intercepted a Hezbollah UAV that crossed into Israeli territory from Lebanon. The drone was intercepted over northern Israel and no warning sirens were activated.
