🚨 ISRAEL’S NEW BEIRUT DETERRENCE POLICY FACES EARLY TEST AFTER LATEST HEZBOLLAH INFILTRATION ALERT
🚨 SIRENS ACTIVATED IN NORTHERN ISRAEL AFTER AERIAL INFILTRATION FROM LEBANON: Sirens were activated in Manara and Kiryat Shmona after a suspicious aerial target crossed from Lebanon into Israeli territory.
The IDF stated that the target was intercepted. Rocket and missile sirens were also triggered due to concerns over falling interceptor debris.
❗️ INCIDENT COMES ONE DAY AFTER NEW ISRAELI WARNING TO BEIRUT: The infiltration alert came shortly after Defense Minister Israel Katz publicly warned that Beirut’s Dahiyeh district would “pay the price” for continued attacks on northern Israel.
Katz stated that Israel has established a new equation under which attacks on Israeli civilians could trigger direct strikes on Hezbollah strongholds in Beirut.
Prime Minister Netanyahu similarly stated that Israel conveyed to President Trump that if Hezbollah continues attacking Israeli cities and civilians, Israel will strike terrorist targets in Beirut.
🗣️ HEZBOLLAH REJECTS NEW DETERRENCE FORMULA: Hezbollah has publicly rejected the proposed framework and insists only on a full ceasefire and Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory.
The latest infiltration alert now places renewed attention on whether Israel moves from warning to enforcement in the coming days.
