⚠️ ISRAEL WARNS HAMAS OVER GAZA KITE, DRONE AND BALLOON LAUNCHES: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz held a security assessment this evening regarding the threat posed by drones, balloons and kites launched from the Gaza Strip toward Israel. IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, the head of the National Security Council and senior IDF officials participated.
"Israel warns Hamas that if the launches toward Israel do not stop immediately, the IDF will act to intensify strikes against those responsible for the launches and evacuate populations from areas from which kites, drones and balloons are launched," Netanyahu and Katz said in a joint statement.
Netanyahu made clear that Israel will not return to the reality that existed before October 7 and will not allow the Hamas terrorist organization, or any other party in Gaza, to again threaten Israeli communities or undermine citizens' sense of security.
Over the weekend, at least four kites flown from Gaza landed in Kibbutz Nahal Oz. The IDF said nothing suspicious was found on the kites and there was no danger to the public. The incidents have nevertheless drawn attention because kites and balloons carrying incendiary devices plagued southern Israel in previous years.
🇮🇱 SMOTRICH AND STRUCK CALL FOR BLOCKING MULTINATIONAL FORCE FROM GAZA: Bezalel Smotrich and Orit Struck called on Netanyahu to prevent a proposed multinational force from entering the Gaza Strip, warning that preparations are already underway and that its planned scale and role differ substantially from what they say was presented to the cabinet.
“At this very moment, intensive efforts are underway to make all the necessary preparations for this force to begin operating inside the Gaza Strip. It will be much larger and have a substantially different role than what was presented to the cabinet.”
They added: “The cabinet must decide as early as tomorrow to prevent the entry of this force, or any other force, before Hamas is fully disarmed.”
🛡️ SOUTHERN GAZA ENVELOPE ALERT DETERMINED TO BE FALSE IDENTIFICATION: A report was received regarding a suspicious aerial target in the southern Gaza Envelope. It was subsequently determined to be a false identification, and there is no concern of a security incident.
