He said the IDF “will not allow hostile forces to establish themselves along our borders” and must prevent both terror infrastructure and a significant military threat from developing there.
🇺🇸 U.S. OFFICIALS WARN OF ISRAEL-TURKEY CONFRONTATION RISK: Axios reported that the strike frustrated White House and senior U.S. officials despite Israel providing advance notice. U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Tom Barrack said the operation carried “a real risk” of developing into a direct military confrontation involving Israel, Turkey and Syria, noting that Turkish forces might have scrambled aircraft had they believed they were under attack. He added that officials were relieved no lives were lost and the situation did not escalate.
✈️ SYRIAN MEDIA REPORT ISRAELI JETS ENTERED IRAQI AIRSPACE: Syrian media said Israeli fighter jets entered Syrian airspace over Daraa, flew northeast and later exited into Iraqi airspace.
🤝 ISRAEL AND GREECE HOLD MILITARY TALKS: Amid the friction with Turkey, Zamir met visiting Greek counterpart Dimitrios Choupis for military talks in Israel.
