⚔️ ISRAEL TARGETS HAMAS FINANCIAL NETWORKS AS LEBANON PRESSURE AND U.S. CONSTRAINT CONCERNS GROW
🎯 The IDF and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) announced the elimination of Khader Jamasi, head of Hamas’ funds transfer network in Gaza, together with his deputy Muhammad Harazin, in a strike conducted in northern Gaza last Sunday. According to the IDF, the two oversaw the transfer of tens of millions of dollars to Hamas’ military wing through a network of money exchangers across the Gaza Strip. The funds were used to finance Hamas operatives and support attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians.
💰 The military said the operation forms part of a broader campaign targeting Hamas financial infrastructure and senior financial operatives. The IDF noted that additional senior figures involved in Hamas financing networks, including Firas Mashharawi and Ihab Khrizim, were eliminated over the past year as part of ongoing efforts to disrupt the organization’s operational funding channels.
🪖 During large-scale battalion and company commander exercises led by the National Ground Training Center, IDF COS LTG Eyal Zamir stressed that battlefield leadership, professionalism, and adherence to military values would remain central to the IDF’s ability to defeat its enemies while maintaining operational standards.
📊 The IDF also released updated reservist data during Reservists Appreciation Day. According to the military, reservists served an average of 94 days in 2024, compared to 78 days the previous year. The IDF stated that 37% of reservists are parents, underscoring the prolonged burden placed on Israeli families during the ongoing conflict. Tel Aviv recorded the highest number of reservists with 42,000, followed by Jerusalem with 23,000, Rishon Lezion with 16,000, Beersheba with 15,000, and Haifa with 14,000.

🌍 Lebanese President Joseph Aoun argued that military action alone would not ensure security for residents of northern Israel, as discussions surrounding a U.S.-backed Lebanon framework reportedly intensified. According to Lebanese reports, the proposal included Israeli demands for the removal of approximately 2,300 Hezbollah members from south of the Litani River, as well as “strike-for-strike” escalation clauses involving Beirut’s southern suburbs.
📑 Lebanese media reported that Speaker Nabih Berri, Hezbollah, and other Lebanese factions objected to elements of the proposed framework. Hezbollah was also reported to favor conditional engagement tied to coordination mechanisms involving Iranian Revolutionary Guard-linked structures.
⏳ Channel 12 reported growing concern within Israel that the United States could seek to pressure Israel to halt or limit operations in Lebanon. According to the report, the assessment has increased urgency within the Israeli military to complete operational objectives before potential diplomatic constraints emerge.
🛰️ The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed that Hezbollah had planned to launch an attack on Tel Aviv following the Israeli strike in Beirut, but stated that Iran instructed Hezbollah not to proceed, asserting that Tehran would respond on its behalf.
🔎 Reports of a loud explosion heard in Haifa early this morning were later determined by Israeli media to be unrelated to any Iranian attack.
