đŻ STRIKE IN BEIRUT TARGETING RADWAN COMMANDER: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that together with Defense Minister Israel Katz, he instructed the military to carry out a strike in Beirut targeting the commander of Hezbollahâs Radwan Force in order to eliminate him.
Netanyahu said Radwan terrorists are responsible for attacks on Israeli communities and for harming IDF soldiers.
He stated: âNo terrorist has immunity. Israelâs long arm will reach every enemy and murderer.â
Lebanese media reported an Israeli airstrike in Beirutâs southern suburbs, a Hezbollah stronghold, marking the first reported Israeli strike on the Lebanese capital since early April.
In a joint statement, Netanyahu and Katz confirmed that the strike targeted the commander of Hezbollahâs elite Radwan Force.
â SOUTHERN LEBANON INCIDENTS AND INTERCEPTIONS: Earlier today, an IDF soldier was severely injured after an explosive drone impact in southern Lebanon. The soldier was evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment, and his family was notified.
In several separate incidents shortly afterward, interceptors were launched toward rockets and suspicious aerial targets in areas where IDF soldiers are operating in southern Lebanon.
The results of the interceptions remain under review. No additional IDF injuries were reported. No sirens were activated in accordance with protocol.
â ïž NETANYAHU ON IRAN, PRESIDENT TRUMP, AND U.S. COORDINATION: Prime Minister Netanyahu said Israel is maintaining continuous contact with the United States and that he speaks with President Trump âalmost daily.â
He said there is âfull coordinationâ between Jerusalem and Washington and âno surprisesâ between the two sides.
Netanyahu stated that both governments share the goal of removing all enriched material from Iran and dismantling Iranâs enrichment capabilities.
According to Netanyahu, President Trump believes this can be achieved âin one way or another,â while Israel is preparing for every possible scenario.
Netanyahu added that this directive has been given to both the IDF and Israelâs security agencies.
He stated: âIsrael is stronger than ever. Iran and its proxies are weaker than ever.â
âïžPOLITICAL SOURCES ON U.S.-IRAN TALKS: A political source said the Americans âdid not surprise usâ and emphasized that Netanyahu and President Trump remain in direct and constant communication.
According to the source, President Trump remains firm on his red lines, especially the removal of nuclear material.
The source added that Netanyahu instructed the IDF to prepare for any scenario, including a possible return to fighting if necessary.
An Israeli source told CNN that Israel is concerned about possible last-minute U.S. concessions aimed at securing an agreement with Iran, particularly any easing of economic sanctions.
According to the source, Israel wants to ensure that any agreement preserves the IDFâs freedom of action against regional threats.
